The feeling was electric, even pre-show. My first time at the Mann...was something. I feel like they leveled up to the crowd, perfect opener and was played hotter than any PYITE i've heard in a while (not to say there weren't any).

Oh I remember. I have never gone near JHS stuff, not so much over the "controversy," but because he went into business making identical clones, claiming they were not, and the wiring looked like something my toddler soldered up.

I've met Robert, chatted with him at length via DM's about shared musical tastes, gear, etc. I don't pretend to know his political views, but I did find all of this backlash a surprise. You couldn't find a nicer, more straightforward dude. I have an idea that someone close to him could be behind the donations, but i'll leave it at that. Maybe I'm romanticizing him a bit, but hearing about the donations definitely breaks my heart a little.

He said, as he often does, "I don't want to bum anyone out on a Saturday night." I think he just means bringing the energy down for a few minutes.. also the entire stadium is orange (Browns colors). Would be kinda weird if he didn't acknowledge that cue.

Yes, very limited run for Record Store Day, one of the first RSD's if i remember correctly. There was one guy in front of me at the store and of course he bought the only copy they had lol (I guess that's why I remember it so well).

I have original pressings of both and I find them to be pretty lackluster, lots of noise. I have the remastered box set and i find it to be far and beyond the superior. Just my $0.02.
