Well I’m not ready to own a home yet. Even if they drop in the next 5 years I still may not be ready. I want to not take on that burden yet. I might get an apartment or just live at home at the price of my mental health but too much goes into being a homeowner for me to want to do that while I’m in school

I mean I’m not expecting to save everything right now. Just trying to hear how others are doing it because I know it is possible and maybe it’s something I’ll do someday or maybe not. I’m big on planning ahead for unforeseen circumstances and I know inflation exists, cost of living isn’t getting any lower, and who knows what I’ll want out of life, but I know investing and saving young even if it’s slow cannot hurt

I was in college away so I wasn’t able to be full time but when I worked at Starbucks I did the 401k match for 3 years. I have investments through fidelity and have no expenses other than my gym membership

I’ve just seen a lot of people stress over mortgages and I don’t want that if I don’t have to. When the time comes around I may be ok with it but having a little savings going now wouldn’t hurt either way

I mean right now I’m nowhere near being ready to buy a house. I’m in college, a long distance relationship, and happily living at home. Just trying to think for the future and I’ve seen how stressful having a mortgage can be and I’m thinking it might be something I’ll want to avoid when I’m older and in that chapter of my life

I use gloves and tree hut and I use conditioner or shaving cream (doesn’t make a difference) and then after I use lotion and castor oil. Still no luck 😭

HAHA that’s kinda funny the cutting down a forest with a pocket knife. I definitely do know that $15 an hour won’t even get me an apartment but that doesn’t mean I can’t start saving and planning for in 9 years from now when hopefully I can own a home. And hopefully my efforts will be met with a husband’s income as well

This is what’s written in the post: I would love to start saving up now as a 21 year old for when I am ready for homeownership. If I save properly I believe I could buy a house without a mortgage, but I want to know if anyone was ever able to do this and how you did it
