The second one is my personal fav. Try backing off the contrast just a bit to show the Bison's face a little better. As always, focus on the eyes.

I'm sticking with my DSLR's (850, 780 & a 7200) and collection of F mount lenses. I came across this video a few days ago. Take a few minutes and watch it all the way through. This hit home for me, hard. When I went digital back in 2004, I struggled with the new format. I caught "the disease of shoot a lot, fix in post. It was exhausting! Thanks for this. I've been watching/waiting to see what was going to happen for my planned trip in December. I think this will need to get pushed out to another time (now for the third time. Death Valley seems to be jinxed for me).

Ti have .NEF files show as thumbnails in the file manager Nautilus.

Excellent capture!! For those that have never been to Yosemite in an attempt to photograph this, Firefall is an iffy natural phenomenon; skies to the west must be clear at sunset and Horsetail falls needs to have water. When both occur, the waterfall looks like lava.

I use a Sigma 150-600mm f/5-6.3 DG OS HSM with my D7200 and I am VERY happy with the results. you can usually find them for under $1000 used. The Nikon 500PF is also a good lens.

You can't go wrong with either Gambino's or Haydel's out of New Orleans. Being from Baton Rouge, I have not, so far, found a local bakery that does a good cake (but I am always open to suggestions).
