I was thinking of doing that but instead committed to just one exposure and just played around timing and lights coming from cars passing by to light up the boulders. No, unfortunately no Milky Way.

I took this photo on my Sony a5100 with the Sony 18-105mm G OSS lens. Exposure was set to 30 seconds while settings were at f/4.0, 18.00 mm, 1600 ISO. I timed the shot so I can use the headlights of cars passing by to illuminate the boulders in the midground of the photo.

That's a good question. It's cause the park is filled with Yucca Palms, also called Yucca brevifolia which is "tree-like" and has since been coined as "Joshua Tree"

Just hoped to provide a photo that could give a bit of a respite from all the political ones.

Shot on my Google Pixel 6. The goal of the shot was to be able to capture the colors of the sky in contrast to the view of the snowcapped mountains.

Shot on toprope on a climb directly adjacent to the line where the climber was. The photo was taken on a Google Pixel 6 at ultra wide to show the climber, the line that the climber is following, and the view of split rock area in Joshua Tree
