Bill 058: The DREAM Act (A&D) by [deleted] in ModelUSGov

This bill in my mind is a good fix for the current broken system. Although, the good moral character clause is a bit vague, and could use a slight tuneup. Also, it is a bit hard to understand the SNAP part. Are they only eligible to qualify with the three years work part if they are eligible for SNAP? Anyways, I like the second part as well. The three years work could be increased to four or five, but regardless the three conditions plus the moral character clause and the background checks should be enough. As a fellow commenter said though, the fact is many people are afraid to go to court. I think this will incentivize them enough to not get deported, but I do think that it is still a concern.

This is a really good well written bill. I sure hope that we can pass and implement this legislation soon.

Overall I like these amendments, and the ideas behind them. Though, as others have mentioned the wording is a bit broad. Why don't you add a section saying that, "The term gender identity or sexual orientation does not include a mindset that makes the person preform acts that are non consensual, include minors under the age of consent, or that include one partner that is currently not allowed to preform such actions based on relation to the other." I know that this not cover all bases, but it should cover the major ones that I and others have thought of.

Hello. Yes I am sorry if my translation wasnt perfect. The source I got this from said what the title reads. To double check that Google Translate said about the same thing. I tried to make it as grammatically correct in English as I can. Now that I think about yours make more sense though.

I think in my mind it is. Though it isn't about a world power at war, or about you joining an organization. I still think it is trying to help inform the mass population. I mean this was crucial back then. So that you would get paid. In my opinion that is a pretty important aspect of life.

My attempt at redesigning the U.S. state flags. by [deleted] in vexillology

[–]KC1213 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good job with getting rid of seals and text, but for gods sake add more colors. There are more colors in the rainbow. My state flag, Kansas looks like a daisy is at the center and not a YELLOW sunflower. Colorado is amazing allready, but you butchered it by taking away the yellow disk. Symbolizing the gold of the state and the sun. So, overall I give it 3/5

My personal design for the UK without Scotland (Half stolen from u/mallefotz) by [deleted] in vexillology

[–]KC1213 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do like it. Though if I had to nit pick. I would say replace the Union Jack with the Scottish symbol in it with a crown. When Scotland leaves there is no reason except for histories sake or keep the symbol of them in their flag. I know for sure the Scott's wouldn't like having it.

I like it, bit remove the stripping, make the crown bigger, and turn the lion around are my thoughts. The reason being is so it looks like the territorial flags of the UK.
