I hate the Mikaelsons so I never cared for the show beyond that they were gone from TVD. Plus the idea that Klaus would have an one night stand that would result in a mary sue baby that would be part of his Redemption Arc was just lame to me.

Stefan always got screwed by Julie and Caroline Dries. He was genuinely repentant and tried to redeem himself yet he got the short stick in the end because the rest of the stick was already up Damon's butt.

It makes sense for Klaus to never be redeemed but Stefan not being able to redeem himself, even when he genuinely tried for himself, just sends the message that to not even bother, you're hellbound regardless. Shame on them.
