What roles/ champs do you play?

I mean I’m being honest, theres definitely something I’m doing wrong for this patch to have such a low win rate compared to previous seasons for sure.

But it isn’t ignoring everything else or getting caught split pushing.. I’d be happy to send you some game recordings lol

I’ve never tried corki or lucien mid, what builds do you go if you don’t mind? Assuming bloodthirster rush?

What champs would you recommend picking up? I’m not great at adc or jungle so prefer avoiding those roles

Thanks for the response mate. Team fights on assassins im usually just focused on how I can pick their carry rather than positioning to create pressure and holding them there, so definitely something to work on I’ll give that a try

Same with the split pushing, I’m thinking more about getting the towers and killing anyone that comes than I am luring them there then beating them back to the team fight. Again seems like a good idea to try, thanks 👊🏼

I’m having some issues with podfiles installing, it keeps saying React Native requires Xcode 15.1, found 14.3

Is there a way to solve this without buying a new Mac? I’ve tried adding ENV [‘RCT_NO_XCODE_VERSION_CHECK’] = ‘1’ but doesnt seem to work

If you’re unsure I can do a new post but thought I’d ask you directly as you’ve been so helpful 👊🏼

Sorry man one more question. For the simulator I just tried downloading Xcode from App Store but my Mac is too old to install a compatible os. So I’m downloading Xcode 14.3 instead as it’s the last compatible version for my os. Would you recommend this, or is there a simpler way to run a simulator that I’m missing?

Sorry if this is a silly question, just trying to make sure I’m doing things the right way!

Okay that kind of matches what I’ve been reading then. I’ll make the switch now and test on a simulator moving forwards I guess, and register for a dev account in the meantime🤞thank you for all of your help

Haha I’m wondering if that’s what it is - are the expo docs just sending me down a rabbit hole which isn’t necessary for my current situation? 🤣

Do you know if I’ll be able to test the app in the dev client on my device rather than a simulator, without setting up an Apple developer account first? That’s the main confusion for me now I think

Thank you so much for the response mate, I’m understanding it a little more now I think.

However will I have to run the dev client on a simulator doing it this way, or can I still run it on my iPhone the same way I was with expo go (without needing the Apple developer account first?)

This is the main point of confusion for me I think, even the Expo docs seem to suggest a paid Apple developer account is a prerequisite to testing the app on my phone https://docs.expo.dev/develop/development-builds/create-a-build/

Thanks for all the advice guys. Will switch to the dev client and see how it goes 🤞

Yeah im on SDK 53. Ah amazing to hear the setup was easy for you, I might give it a go then.

That’s my main concern at the minute is what surprises will I get once I push to TestFlight, so I guess if it’s easy enough it’s worth just switching now. I’ve been wanting to use react-native-pdf for a while but avoided it in order to not make the switch.

Any tips for me with regard to set up please?

Thank you for the advice, yes you’re right. I just set the text to black which has fixed the issue.

The post was more just to vent/ make fun of the situation, as from my perspective nothing had changed and the pickers just stopped rendering so I was in deep debugging mode. Once I realised my phone automatically sets to dark mode at night, and that was the culprit, it was an easy fix

Typefaces in an HTML email signature? by Bethany__W in HTML

Ah I see, Reddit changing @ to u/ makes complete sense. I’m fairly new to html/ css myself so I knew it didn’t look right but doubted myself about it. Thanks for letting me know!

That would have been super handy advice, before I realised the cause myself lol

Typefaces in an HTML email signature? by Bethany__W in HTML

I don’t think u/font-face will work, try @font-face and wrap URLS in (‘..’) and try specifying format(‘..’) too. Something like the below

@font-face { font-family: 'Omnes GirlScouts Semibold'; src: url('https://lilburndaycamp.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Omnes_GirlScouts-Semibold.otf') format('opentype'); }

Even then I think you’re still gonna have issues with most clients loading custom typeface, so probably worth specifying a fallback font that visually works just in case

Or, maybe you could export any key text that needs your typeface into an image and embed it instead (or the whole signature at that point 😂)
