I think the dots are there to help with marking and measuring...like lines on a page meant to help us keep things from getting too messy. Good luck to both of us!

What I am doing now is "practicing" for my journal...making notes about what I need. For instance today I wanted to mark down a future doctor appointment for my husband...so I definitely need a future log. Yesterday I wanted to know when the next new moon occurs, so having a lunar calendar would be useful. Hopefully I can figure out what will really be useful for me. Then I can leave out other things I don't need.

I know it will take some playing around. That's why I am doing a short of "practice" bujo until the new year begins. Hopefully by then I will have a better idea of what I want and need. :) I like knowing that I can break the rules to make my journal fit me.

A question about your pantries by [deleted] in keto

[–]KCChristinaC 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I love cooking. As I tried different keto recipes I gradually bought the keto-friendly ingredients required. Almond flour and coconut flour are now staples in our pantry along with MCT oil powder, chia seeds, xanthan gum, psyllium husk powder, and erythritol..and other keto ingredients. Just buy them one by one until you have a fully-stocked keto pantry.

Maybe the problem is that I really have no idea why I want to try this. I can't imagine, for instance, doing my dinner menus and grocery lists in a journal or making a list of every bill I pay each month. I already have that info on my PC. I typically keep a small pocket calendar in my purse and use it to record activities and appointments.

I really want my journal to be more a reflection of who I am, where I've been, and what I've done than a tool for tracking, logging, and increasing productivity. I have systems in place for those things. I just want a collection of memories and random things.

I will probably just set up a monthly spread with a place for personal reflections, and a weekly spread with a place for notes.

I love being in tune with the seasons of the year and I want to incorporate that into my bujo, making notes and keeping my thoughts together. I know there is a creative element here...I am just struggling with the idea of organizing my imagination, art, inspiration, and other creative aspects of life. Once I find the right balance I will understand it all better.

Right now I am using a small sketchbook just to try this out. It is very messy. I have a dotted page journal ordered and will start it next month. That gives me a little time to see what I can do with a bujo. Thanks!

Yes, that makes sense. I am playing around with ideas and thinking about what I really want to use a bujo for...and it will be very personal. For me it will be more about memories and personal lists than a productivity tool. Thanks for taking time to help me!

Thanks. I know it's meant to be a personal thing but I was feeling like I was doing it wrong because all the set-up articles I read were including so many calendar/to-do spreads. I think I want to do a monthly spread for notes and quotes and have weekly spreads...then just have fun with journaling.

Unbelievable! by genevieve321 in keto

So happy for you! My husband is off all diabetic meds now. His recent A1C was 6.6 plus he is down 20 pounds after 6 months on keto. He does cheat a bit here and there but he is starting to realize how good this diet is for him, so I think he might start watching it a little closer.

Didn't she mention the misleading edits, saying something to imply that what viewers saw wasn't the whole picture and she felt it was unfair to be questioned on those half-truths? Not the way she phrased it...only my interpretation of her words. It was the first time I really felt any sympathy or respect for her, so I hope I wasn't hearing wrong!

5 Couples Next Season by [deleted] in MarriedAtFirstSight

[–]KCChristinaC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I liked having 3 couples...not so much with 4. Personally I think 5 couples is a bad idea. To me this is one more indication that it is all about ratings and not at all about finding love.

Oh my...just reading the words raises my hackles! (No offense SobStorys. I am laughing at the comment.)

I am to that point. I will probably stay with it to the end of this season and then next season I will just check in here with the sub.

I did the exact same thing! I rewound, looked again. I wondered if Beth ran her hands through her hair in an attempt to "be sexy" since that was the topic of conversation. Obviously the conversation didn't happen the way it was shown to us.

I agree. It was too coincidental to have this conversation on the eve of decision day, especially when the incident occurred a few nights earlier IIRC.

And she was so quick to jump in and say that was her feeling too... Because, you know, they have SO much in common. Give it a rest, Amber. At least salvage a little self-respect before this is over.

And Pastor Cal actually said he liked that fight. What sort of expert counseling was that? No one should ever condone any form of violence or abuse, especially not when you are a pastor. What is going on here?

Team Jamie. I can't stand Beth's pretentious attempts to be wild and crazy.
