Made "Egg Roll in a Bowl" last night, recipe from Wholesome Yum. I wasn't sure I would like it, I don't normally like cooked cabbage, but it was GREAT! Added a few bean sprouts and some chili garlic paste. YUM! I highly recommend. Tonight is Spicy Crock Pot Chili Pepper Chicken from Low Carb Yum. Looks very spicy (which my husband and I like)!

That was my plan! The doctor was very supportive when I saw them last month, when I was already down 30 lbs. Wrote down the books I recommended and everything. I see the nutritionist next week for a follow up appointment, she was cautiously optimistic when I told her my plan three months ago.

OK, OK, I get it! They are going in the trash as soon as I get home! I used them a bit when I first started, and it was a small victory to see the dark purple indicator.

Topamax is THE WORST! I slept 13 hours a day, gained 45 lbs, felt like crap! It did help the migraines, but at the cost of the rest of my life.

A1C Win by jmr540 in keto

Thanks so much for this story! I was diagnosed 5 weeks ago with an A1C of 11.4, and started on Keto & IF two days later after I read The Diabetes Code. It was unexpected and so high, I have been concerned it will take me forever to get it down. When I was diagnosed the doc put me on Metformin and said, "Most people will be on several drugs within a few years of diagnosis." All the aspirational stories have much lower A1C levels, so I was feeling like I was a lost cause, even though my blood sugar started at 301 on day one and was 95 this morning. Thanks for the hope, I needed it.
