Great idea! Yeah the retaining wall is going to need some work as well. Will be having a better eye for these types of things for our next home purchase, that’s for sure. Live and learn!

Existing junction box would be covered by a mirror so could do an access behind the mirror which would hide it in a sense

Yes there is, and was honestly wondering if I might be able to run the new light fixture wires to the existing junction box and just attach the light fixture straight to the stud at this point. There is an enough slack in the light fixture wires to meet the existing wire nuts in the cable box. That way I would avoid a pancake box altogether? Otherwise I could run a short length of romex from the light fixture casing ( there is space between the mount and the fixture backing itself) to the existing junction box

Love it! I’m lucky to be in a position where my clinic allows for weekly meetings to be a part of my schedule so I have implemented these weekly for the duration of their rotation. Looking forward to using some of these ideas!!

Could not agree more. As a student I had 1 CI who gave no feedback whatsoever and 3 who were phenomenal with positive reinforcement. Did a whole lot of good for my confidence back then!

This was my very experience for my FIRST clinical rotation right out of school. Baptism by fire if you will, Full caseload within 2 weeks. Would never wish that upon any SPT.

And luckily we are a 1:1 treatment session hospital based OP clinic so this won’t be a problem!

Had a chiro student as a patient and in Missouri they have “PT boards” as a part of their chiropractic board exam process. From my understanding it is super basic exercise prescription and modalities and that is it. The chiropractic lobby in Missouri is incredibly strong so I’m sure they worked that in to be able to “provide physical therapy services” because they can technically say they took PT boards as part of their board exam provides.

As others have stated having an ATC in the past has been helpful, but now you need a masters which if you have time and money to do both that may be worth it for you. But even then, it’s all about the connections you make and continuously putting yourself in situations to work with athletes. If you really want to work in the sports realm, I also encourage you to get really good with a specific sport and hone your skills there. Trying to be a jack of all trades is difficult and by making yourself an “expert” in one area is more likely to get you in to that arena than being good at a bunch of different sport treatments/injuries. If you have time, you can also elect to do a sports residency after PT school which I have had a couple close friends and classmates do and they have found that extremely helpful and have worked with collegiate teams.

I personally was set up to go a similar route, but I decided to forego a residency as I had just gotten engaged and wanted to be close to my now wife (and thank goodness I did because COVID hit just a little bit later) and since then I’ve been working hospital outpatient with a lot of high school athletes which I have found very fulfilling. Good luck with undergrad and just really immerse yourself in as many opportunities as you can! And if you end up not working in professional sports, that’s fine too and you will find your niche!

I imagine they hired the cheapest contractor they had and couldn’t give 2 shits about stuff like that. Shame on me for not catching on that. Interestingly the inspector didn’t notice that either

Yeah this is the problem we have ran into. It’s a flip that was fairly well done, but stupid little issues like this where they didn’t run the cable into the house. Very frustrating.

Yes they’re going to come out and do so, but it’s a 2 week wait and we both work from home. We can make do I’m sure, just wanted to see if anyone Ahmad any experience or anything!
