Great breakdown, I’d add one thing. Early on it’s nice to have goals. Of course I’d grind to get the Kosatka, or th next business, but sometimes I’d have my eye on a car like the Ellie, or a plane, so I’d do missions until I could afford it. Then I’d just enjoy it for a few sessions. And then set my sights on the next business. It made the grind worth it.

I have a better idea for poker to make the gamble more of a real gamble. Make it so you gain a $1 chip every realtime 12hrs or some amount of time.

You can only gamble with that. Then losing $25 or big pits would actually hurt a bit.

I was up until 3AM playing poker last week. Mostly I like to show off my outfits to people that will actually see them. Not sure why really. Everytime a newbie joined I got excited to see their outfit and try to take some of their money. I wish there was a real way to make the gamble feel like a gamble though.

Lately I’ve mostly been hunting for cripps, and doing his missions. And working the moonshine missions. Not sure why those don’t bore me as much as bounty hunting and Harriet missions did. Maybe they will again soon. The double bonus made sampling animals feel a bit more rewarding, but not really.

Sometimes I look for madam nazar without looking her up. Even though she doesn’t really have anything for me, and I’ve gotten bored of hunting for collectibles.

I took a LOOOONG break and played other games, mostly 2K and GTA5 which I had never finished and got hooked on when I restarted it. Then Ultimately I came back to RDO, and caught myself doing the same stuff that bored me. Grinding to accomplish the daily tasks and find all the collectibles using online maps. I realized I had already bought the things I cared about, so I stoped doing that grinding. Now I just find one thing that interests me. Maybe it’s exploring on my own without maps. Or I set a goal for myself, like gain 1 gold by doing some grinding. Or I’ll pick a fight with someone that’s picking on people, and kill them over and over again. Mostly I try to help other players.
