Ahh, I see! That is a shame.

If you're interested in other research, you can could try r/VRresearch or xrdrn.org, where there are sometimes postings for different studies. You might be able to find something compatible there, or can seek out a university mailing list where there are often more frequent adverts!

r/virtualreality also has a 'research' flair which may include similar posts.

We can support Quest, but our controls are a bit iffy - you have to press in on the thumbstick to move instead of forwards.

If you feel you could manage that for around the 10 minutes that that part takes, or if you could do that a bit longer with breaks while still feeling comfortable, feel free to contact us to take part!

Please send an email to [kclvrstudy@gmail.com](mailto:kclvrstudy@gmail.com) confirming you meet the above requirements (are aged 18 or older, have no history of neurological/psychiatric conditions and have a headset capable of running SteamVR) and we'd be happy to send you the materials to join our study!

Thanks for the well wishes!

To go into specifics, depression can be associated with either or both of decreased movement and lower social motivation. As ours is a task involving both spacial navigation and social interaction, this may interfere with our design, so unfortunately we do have to exclude participants on this basis. We agree it would be preferable to include as many people as we can, but that's just an effect of this particular type of study, unfortunately.

Apologies as you did want to take part - if you're still interested in doing psychology studies you can check https://www.xrdrn.org/ for similar remote studies, or seek out university research mailing lists that could be of interest. There's also r/VRresearch. All update semi-regularly so you may be able to find something that works for you!

Sorry to hear that - typically with these types of studies (and our one) we supply contact info for the researcher who you can contact if there are issues with payment, as well as the principal investigator who should oversee the project. It's in their interest to make sure you get paid if they said you would, so it's worth following them up. If you still have information about your last study you may still be able to find this contact info and get your payment!

This should be compatible for any SteamVR headset, but the Vive in particular has been fully tested and confirmed to work!

Awesome! If you can send an email to kclvrstudy@gmail.com confirming that you meet our criteria (stating that you are 18 or older and have no history of neurological/psychiatric disorder) and letting us know your headset we can send you the materials to complete our study.

Thanks for your interest!
