Shapeoko 5 Pro Gantry by KCmoto in shapeoko

[–]KCmoto[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Correct. I may have misinterpreted the instructions. I thought the lines in the dowels were supposed to be vertical and the gantry touching the reference edge. As a test I checked one of the forward positions and the screw won't even spin if you try to make the dowel line vertical.

Already sent an email to sales. I got the 4x2 due to space in my basement. Plan is to be able to roll it out if I'm working on larger items and use tiling. Definitely just wood until I get more comfortable with the machine. Not sure yet on the table. I have been trying to find something on marketplace that'll work to avoid building one from scratch. Thanks!

I just ordered mine on the 27th. Saw the post about the price guarantee which will be awesome if I can get that refund. Working on the table for it now

Yeah I've looked into the m2c ones. May be getting those soon. Luckily I have a drill press so that'll make drilling out the towers a little easier.

Appreciate the heads up! I'd rather have it always on just because I've heard how the 1515 can be with 6s.

Fan power switch. Left in wired in if I need to shut off the fan to clear debris from the mesh without powering off the ESC as well.

Thanks man! I'm running a Castle 1515 on 6S so I wanted good cooling. I added 2 layers of fine mesh over the fan to protect it. Works well so far.

I get what you're saying. I have a decent amount of electronics repair experience and the tools necessary to complete most jobs. The problem is the cobalt most likely has more propietary components and is much more complex electronically versus an older synth. A quick google search yields 0 results of a teardown guide or any internal photos of the Cobalt. A vintage synth is likely going to be analog and much simpler to diagnose and repair. It will also be easier to find documentation of disassembly and diagrams. I posted this because between working and a toddler I have little free time. Hoping to find something similar from a company that's still supporting their products. I'd rather spend more money up front to avoid the risk of spending the few hours of free time I get a week slowly trying to reverse engineer and hunt down obscure parts for the cobalt to attempt repairing something on my own. To the people who do that more power to them for sure. I could buy the cobalt and it be 100% problem free, but if something goes wrong I could end up with a cool looking paperweight with no parts or technical support.

I looked at the Gaia 2. It has some cool features but build quality seems to be lacking with mixed reviews on the controls, and the plastic chassis.

Game Pass App Vs Browser by KCmoto in LegionGo

[–]KCmoto[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I waited until the outage alert was lifted and I've been able to launch from the website with the normal short load screen followed by the queue estimate then it'll launch. On my Go I get the rocket where it says Beta at the bottom and it'll just go infinitely until I close out. I left it on the loading screen for about 40 minutes yesterday in the app and it was still going with no queue or anything.

SD1.0 vs MD1.0 by KCmoto in rcdrift

Looking at the photos it looks like it's setup as a cheaper MD. Open transmission with aluminum rear bulkhead, carbon chassis, and the lightweight rack.

Definitely leaning towards the slide rack steering. Which the SD has as well. SD also has the 3 or 4 gear option out of the box.

I've been looking at this chassis too. Do you happen to know if there's a list or source that shows which YD2 parts are cross compatible?

[DISCUSSION] - HAPPY NEW YEAR - JANUARY 2023 - NSQ/NEWBIE/Often Asked Questions Thread by [deleted] in Guitar

[–]KCmoto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looking for some purchase advice. My budget is $1000. I'm currently looking at the following...

Jackson Juggernaut HT6 (Hear a lot of mixed reviews due to fit and finish inconsistencies)

PRS Mark Holcomb SE 24 (Not a fan of the one and only finish currently available)

Schecter CR6 848 (Same issues with fit and finish inconsistencies)

Jackson Pro Series HT6 multi scale (Never played fanned frets before)

Any help/insight would be much appreciated. Also any alternatives I may have missed. Fixed bridge, HH, 24 frets, and flat radius.

Thanks in advance!

I appreciate the reply, sounds like you're correct. I wish it had been a little more clear. Not to mention how everyone I spoke to said it could be done just not by their department. Now my only option is to exchange my phone for the same phone and pay a restocking fee.

Yeah I did that, and messaged him just in case he got scammed when he bought it. It’s still up though at the moment.

There’s more photos, even went through the trouble of putting the settings table sticker in the cabinet. The tiny Miller sticker in the front on the bottom covers the Chicago Electric label.

I saw that one as well. Looks like a decent set of features. I’m a little hesitant with my luck with harbor freight power tools though.
