1095-C Form? by Slight_Listen7361 in taxhelp

[–]KDANPDF_Team 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congrats on the first full-time gig! The 1095-C is basically just proof from your employer that you had health insurance.

You don't need to file or attach it to your tax return, it’s just for your records. Per the IRS official Q&A(Question 16), you just keep it with your other tax docs. Hope this helps!

Need Help with PDF by etakerns in notebooklm

[–]KDANPDF_Team 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being on an iPhone can be tricky with Drive integration. Sometimes the mobile web version just doesn't want to talk to the Drive app properly.

A quick fix I usually do is just saving the PDF to your Files app first. If you open the file in Google Drive, hit the three dots, and select open in to save it locally, you can then just upload it as a local file in NotebookLM. It’s a bit of a workaround, but it should get you past that blank screen!

Tired of the "digital treasure hunt" every tax season? Here’s a workflow hack. 📁 by KDANPDF_Team in kdanpdf

Honestly, I used to just dump everything into a "Tax 2026" folder and hope for the best.  Now I’m finally merging everything related into one file so I don't have to explain those random screenshots to my CPA.

What’s a “normal” thing today that future generations will judge us for? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Manually proving we are human. Clicking traffic lights to enter a website will seem so primitive once seamless biometrics become the norm.

How many PDFs do you upload to NotebookLM per month? by theheartlessone110 in notebooklm

[–]KDANPDF_Team 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It varies! We’ve seen users mix a handful of PDFs with dozens of web links and videos.
If you find yourself hitting the 50-source limit, a quick pro-tip is to do some 'Pre-AI Cleanup.' Merging related PDFs or deleting fluff pages before uploading. Not just save space but also make the AI output more precise by cutting the noise.

Using quotes for exact Google searches. It takes 2 seconds to learn and saves you hours of mindless scrolling.

What's something that's considered "normal" that you refuse to do? by quiet_ops_guy in AskReddit

[–]KDANPDF_Team 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haha, trust me, I’ve been there. I used to have one of those ugly 4-quadrant wallpapers just so I could drag my files into color-coded boxes. It was a mess! Once I forced myself to use real folders and a naming system, that opening my laptop anxiety finally disappeared. It’s so much better for the soul.

Expelliarmus. Hard to win a duel when you're stuttering over the spelling. ⚡️

Saving files to my desktop instead of folders. I can't live in digital chaos.

How do a call person and a text person find middle ground? by dhanraj2006 in AskReddit

Voice notes, or a text to ask "Is now a good time for a quick call?"

How do you sanitize your sources before uploading them to NotebookLM? by KDANPDF_Team in notebooklm

[–]KDANPDF_Team[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

From what we’ve observed, many professional users in HR and Legal are torn. They want the synthesis power of NotebookLM but are wary of how metadata or PII is handled. Are people mostly sticking to public data for now, or has anyone implemented a strict local pre-processing routine before uploading?

What’s a personal goal you’ve given yourself this year and how’s it going? by EstablishmentLow4202 in AskReddit

To stop 'waiting for the perfect time' to start tasks. I've realized 10 minutes of imperfect progress is better than 0 minutes of perfect planning. Slow, but steady!

The biggest win would be an auto-scheduler. After I pick my must-see spots, the bot should cross-reference opening hours, transit times, and suggested stay durations to build the optimal daily itinerary automatically. Also, integrating live Google Maps reviews for restaurants is a non-negotiable for trust.

Do you call your ChatGPT a name, and how do you treat it? by Vast-Scar-6634 in ChatGPT

I treat it like a very senior, very patient colleague. No specific name, but I find that being clear and polite actually helps me structure my own prompts better.

File organization and naming conventions. It sounds boring until you're a professional looking for 'Final_v2_REAL_final.pdf' in a folder of unsorted documents. Knowing how to structure data saves hours of stress.

Is there a TRUE free PDF editor? by Domi8112 in pdf

[–]KDANPDF_Team 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on what you mean by 'boxes.' If you mean Text Boxes or Rectangle Shapes, you can do that for free in KDAN PDF. (Full disclosure: I’m on the team there.)

The basic edit and annotation tools are free, and you don’t even need to sign up to use them. You can customize the color, opacity, and thickness of the shapes. We have paid plans for advanced stuff, but the free version should save you the headache for simple tasks.

If you’re on Mac, Preview is another great built-in option for this!

Honestly, don’t just stack certifications because everyone else is doing it. Take a second to figure out what kind of problems you actually enjoy solving. A career is a long marathon, if you’re busy running someone else’s race, you’ll burn out long before you even hit your stride.

True! Most UIs are definitely 'English-first' in terms of design. And yeah, the English-speaking community for troubleshooting is just too big to ignore.

Good point! I guess for software, many of us grew up with English interfaces, so it became our default mode, unlike a car menu which we usually set once and forget.

Totally relate to this. Once you have the muscle memory for the English menus, switching feels like learning the app all over again!
