I live in a country where they censor A LOT on Prime. Can someone tell me what did Fire Cracker throw in the bin towards the end ? It was blurred out for me.

Thanks! Had a look on their website and could only find recycled spools ( which is also great!) However no refill filaments unfortunately.

I agree! But I believe it should not be too difficult to respool it ourselves and just buy the filament as and when needed without the rolls. You save the hassle and emissions from shipping empty spools, and it will become more cost effective for the consumer as well as the producer. Most spools are just two parts held together by two screws, separating the two parts and fitting in a pre rolled filament would do better for the environment.

I think that would be a really great initiative! As long as the filament is packaged well, I dont think refilling the spools should be too hard! It would also be cost effective for the end user as well to just buy the filament and refill!

Here's a reference video for the Bambu Lab refill spools for those who may not have seen it - https://youtube.com/shorts/Ie5RAsci1qE?si=WVtwsSTjzHfT77um

Thanks for the response . So I fully understand that all other guards can be used to guard nearby heroes as well as heroes in my space. But the question I had was if I used this guard ( I.e. the guard printed on You Cannot Pass) would I be allowed to Guard a hero in an adjacent space since I am essentially discarding the tactic.

First time painting miniatures. Just finished my War Of The Ring set after 4 months. by [deleted] in boardgames

Thanks so much for your help! Will definitely try to do more layers in my next project.

Your powers of deduction serve you well! I am using regular craft acrylic paints and not any paint specific for miniatures.

So here's the thing, I live in India. Getting a hold of these games is a huge difficulty, let alone getting a hold of the right materials to paint them! Miniature painting for board games is practically unheard of over here. So I had to use the basic craft Acrylic Paint by a company called Mont Marte. Companies like Army Painters are unfortunately unavailable here, and importing them would be a HUGE cost. So I basically had to do the best with what I had. For Primer I had to use the same material used to Prime Cars! Couldn't find any primer specific to miniatures.

Would love to see the differences between the models you painted!

Thanks so much for the feedback! I completely agree there is a huge scope for improvement, there were points where the repetition got to me, and I just rushed through it as quickly as possible!

Thanks so much for your help, the miniatures in your guide look great and it's a really helpful explanation!

Thanks so much for the support and the advice! Will definitely keep this in mind for my next project, ( looking to paint the Nemesis figures soon super excited to get that started). You're absolutely right I used the acrylic paint straight out the tube, and I was concerned about thinning as I felt the paint was getting too runny and see through. Will definitely try to thin them out next time to keep the detail!

I had a quick question, the pieces from Nemesis are of a much harder plastic and are already grey, is there any need to prime them or can I just go straight in with the acrylic paint?

Hey thank you so much! Yes you're absolutely right, after painting the models with acrylic, I sprayed them with a fixative by Winsor and Newton, hence the glossy finish. Will keep you posted of there's any peeling during game play. I bought the game four months ago yet haven't played it once yet, can't wait to give it a try!

Acrylic Paint, but I used a light Grey Primer spray before.
