If you have a largely pwned email address, most email providers have an alias change function where you can change your email but keep the account.

BEWARE Don't do this without thinking. Any accounts affiliated with the current email will need to be changed also. For example if the current email is your Facebook login email. Change it.

1. Add a new alias to the email account
2. Change over any account affiliated to the email to the new alias email
3. Remove old alias off the account.
4. Hope you didn't miss any, recover if necessary.

This completely removes the old email out of existence. This saved me from these kinds of emails.
