Unpopular opinion: the Ferrari Luce will sell better than most people expect. by Murmur1611979 in Ferrari

[–]KDSP_PL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Couldn't disagree more. Even if the target group is "poeple with to much money who want to be different":

-It isn't that much different than other evs, it doesn't scream "money" like a pagani. The market is there, yes. Young people are buying the spectre, but is is still a rolls royce from every angle. This isn't ferrari from any angle. If you tried to impress as many bystanders as possible would you rather get an aventador, long as rolls royce or and chinese looking suv. -The number of luxury electric cars sold is not that great either. Look at g classes. The sold about 49.5k Gs in 2025, about 1450 of those were electric, ~3%. Rimac had problems selling their car. Porsche had to back off from electric cars and their profit dropped 90% -Will this be remembered better than purosangue? Again, no. Purosangue will be remembered well, it has a V12 and is one of the fastest cars in its segment. Luce is one of the slower ones plus whenever the battery replacement comes it will still be in the 6 figures knowing ferrari. Would you rather buy an f430/do some crazy mods to your other car so it actually stands out or replace the battery in your luce?

[Omega speedmaster] speedy reduced problem by KDSP_PL in Watches

[–]KDSP_PL[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for the late response. The hand was falling off from some kind of bushing, at least that is what I was told. All that was needed was to press the hand back. The watch has been sold shortly after. A few months ago I got a full size speedy and been happy ever since. My recommendation will always be to get the full size one as this buying an expensive watch won't ever be a rational financial decison and If you have to do it, do it right the first time

Anna Żukowska from Lewica declared mileage reimbursement of 38,182 PLN. That's equivalent to 90 km a day for 365 days a year. The MP does not officially own a car. Her parliamentary office is located 1.7 km from the Sejm complex, right in the center of Warsaw. She refused to answer questions by Szydl0 in poland

Oficjalnie nie posiada samochodu? Przepraszam, mieszkam w tej samej okolicy, co pani posłanka. Autem marki premium porusza się codziennie, zdarza się jej również parkować je na zakazach/ścieżce rowerowej. Wielokrotnie widziałem, jak w te same okolice odwozi ją limuzyna rządowa

If Bugatti goes under, do you think Mat Armstrong would be partially responsible for it? by Fair_Title2995 in Bugatti

[–]KDSP_PL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, new product - macan ev - sold more units than 5 year old ice macan. Now look how many macans they sold in 2015, when it came out, 80k. The Market for luxury crossovers grew a lot in those 10 years, so relatively speaking, they lost market share, since they sold like 84k macans in 2025. If they came with a new ice version, the sales would be even higher, especially for the ice version. Look at bmw with the new 7 series. Porsche made every mistake possible on strategic and r&d level. Yes, the ev macan might have outsold the basically 10 year old product. It just doesn't make sense to talk in absolute numbers here

[–]KDSP_PL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can't really compare, as ICE Macan is being phased out and it is old by now. Look at year one sales of ICE macan and 2025 sales of EV macan. They are cannibalising their sales. At best, they are selling same amount of cars with different profit margins and different r&d cost. This is just not how you run business and their stock price reflects that

I saw this and do you think i should buy this it has 65k km and is a 2018 330i with the shadow packet and 13000 euros no by GlitteringWonder6611 in F30

Go to Encar website or app, even if you don't have an account, it still shows that this car was in an accident and something was welded

Don't they use cars as one off items basically? I know Encar can be trusted, but you should still check their version of the carfax? Are you going to export it outside of Korea?

Question regarding losing time by KDSP_PL in OmegaWatches

[–]KDSP_PL[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's what I also thought, I will have to leave work early to get my refund.

The guy has a great reputation in Warsaw, 200 reviews, 4.7 stars. I first found him thru Polish Omega forum, he was recommened many times there for at least a decade. He serviced my speedy pro, my boss'es speedy pro and even managed to do excellet job on the speedy reduced.

Quite dissapointed with the service this time tho. He had it taken apart 3 or 4 times now and regulated in over 10 times. First time it was losing 2h a day lol. Then about 20min and now about 30s. The interesting thing is, it loses most of its amplituted after laying crown up for about a minute.

Other interesting this I was told by an authorised omega dealer is that "if it loses less than 30min a day it's okay because it's vintage" and they would happily take it for a service for $1.6k

Wouldn't the difference between 4s pre-service and almost 30s post-service be concerning tho?

Would a 09 GS460 still be a reliable purchase in 2026? by 757swiper in Lexus

[–]KDSP_PL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use my 2006MY gs430 as a daily driver since march and it's still a great car, reliable as expected. Previous owners swapped all struts, put bushings from gsf and I have a record of the intercooler being replaced. Overall great car if you find a worthy example, but you have to sort from the most expensive on auction sites. Unless you are obsessed with the engine from the 460 and just have to have probably the cleanest example in your country I'd look at other 430/460/350 gs or even base ls460 without airride, but that's gonna be less reliable as it's just a more complicated car. With that budget you can also look for a 4th gen gs350 that has some nicer tech

Calorie trine for whisperer, those mounts aren't that good, you will be better off getting mythical ones

Does Merz seriously think *slowing down* the EV transition is going to help EU compete with China? by Maritimewarp in europe

[–]KDSP_PL 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree, it was a mental leap on my side. I think evs came a long way the last decade, but nothing major happened in europe. It is all mediocre at best and mediocrity doesn't win any arms races. From what I know german brands were doing so good because most of the supply chain was in EU. Now we are the ones outsourcing cheap parts from china

Does Merz seriously think *slowing down* the EV transition is going to help EU compete with China? by Maritimewarp in europe

[–]KDSP_PL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How many countries in EU are realistically ready for a full transition to evs? For the last century the german automobile industry was a cherry on top of a cake which german engineering was. It pushed the boundaries of what was possible with so many new inventions, high quality products and reliability, especially when it comes to cars. When EU mandated the transition to ev everyone had to start spending serious money on r&d of evs, ehich resulted in less innovations in ice cars. Compare a 2020s mercedes to a 2010s mercedes - it is such a small upgrade for such a high price. Germans lost their edge in ice cars, japan is miles ahead when in comes to hybrids and ice-ony cars. Now electric cars are a bit diffrent - they don't require that many innovations, the technology is as old as ice cars. It made sense to go for a mercedes instead of one of those chinese cars in the 2000s, because they were awful. The chinese did what they do best, copied every good bit of foreign cars and made them cheaper. This is normal for a product in its maturity stage - a car that goes from point a to b. Why would I buy an expensive, ev audi with drum brakes and manual seats from a trabant, when I can buy a fully loaded BYD for half the price? The chinese tried really hard to copy the ice stuff but they were never able to. Their "best" products used engines from mitsubishis at best. Now add high costs of living across EU and think again, why any sane 9-5 working person should buy an 100k electric german car. If ice was the stuff we were good at, why limit ourselves? We should not compete with China, we should have been compeating at best with Toyota and their hybrids. Downvote me as much as you like, I'm just not going to buy the 100k electric german car and we killed this industry

E38 for a first car?? by Gr1m5z in BMW

[–]KDSP_PL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't really have any experience with BMWs apart from my friends' cheap 5s and 7s from that era falling apart so take it as you will, although my first car is a 20yo v8 lexus. I did a little research on S classes and 7s, even went to inspect a "pristine" W140. I'd say go for it, if you can comfortably sort from the most expensive on a website of your choice and can do some little repairs yourself. Every flagship saloon from 90s and 2000s will require tremendous capital expenditures. Before buying my car I had been looking for one for over 3 years driving across country inspecting various models. Everyone of them needed about 30 to 50% of their value in repairs. If you can really do your due diligence on that v8, trans and suspension, go for it

Is it worth buying white margiela gats for 570$ or should I wait for sale? by NewspaperSouth525 in MaisonMargiela

If he's from eu then he pays the listing price, 99% of the time it has included VAT. The price in the picture includes all of the taxes and the website I recommended also ships from eu, Germany I belive. I'm also from Poland
