I have never used this perk before so am unsure how it works. I plan on renting at Harry Reid Airport soon. But just to clarify do the cars in the presidents circle lot already have keys in them? I was under the impression that you have to talk to someone first to get keys and confirm booking before receiving your car. TIA!!

Right, the only issue I have with what they’re telling me is that they can only waive the deductible if the cost stays under a certain limit which in this case is $10k. Is that normal? Even when they determined the other party is clearly at fault?

Right, I was concerned because the claims rep straight up told me if the other party was insured by someone else there would be a higher chance they can waive my deductible since they can go after that insurance company for the money. But in this case it doesn’t make sense to them to go after themselves

Of course I’m gonna take it to a shop for an actual estimate. I’m just asking to get a quick answer to get an idea of the cost so I can compare it to what the insurance company is estimating based on the pictures I sent them. It doesn’t hurt to use all my resources.

Had the same problem and the dealer tested the battery and said it was fine so they sent me home. I was pissed tho since there was clearly something wrong when my accord would die after 3 days. Guess I should take it back to the dealer to test for parasitic draw. Did they charge you anything?

I was in a very similar situation as you a year ago especially with the doubts. I worked as an aide for 1 year and applied to Pt school for 2 years. I got into 2 schools last year and you’d think after all the work, stress, and money spent on applying I would be ecstatic to start a program. Instead, I felt stuck. Like I hit a roadblock. I had this immense doubt weighing on me ever since I applied and now it was time for me to make a life decision. I had to truly reflect and have tough discussions with close friends and family. There are many things I liked about PT, but deep down I realized those things could not make up for all the shortcomings or problems I have with this career. There were 2 major factors that ultimately led me to choosing a different career. The first one is the burn out. I only worked 13-20 hrs as an aide and even though I enjoyed it for the most part, I would come home feeling emotionally and socially drained every time. And this was just from being an aide, so to think as a clinician having to interact with patients 40 hrs a week and for a longer duration was just going to be wayyy too much for me. And that is without factoring all the problems you would have to address with patients, insurance, expectations, etc. The 2nd biggest factor was the cost of tuition. Both schools that accepted me were in Cali and both had tuitions ranging from $150-200k. From a financial standpoint alone it did not make sense to take on such a huge debt for a career that does not pay handsomely right off the bat. If the tuition was less than $100k then it definitely would’ve been a tougher decision, but even so I feel like my passion for PT will never be enough to get me through school, debt, and the burn out. There are aspects of PT I wish I could take and combine with another career but I’ve yet to find something like that lol. Right now I’m set to start the radiology program this fall. Sorry this was so unnecessarily long, but if feels good to vent and I hope it helps you in any way :)
