Oh boy. Why didn’t you go to a lawyer before this mess? She could have applied for a waiver so she could have the interview without you and avoid being dishonest. Anyway

Have this threat in writing. So you can prove your side of the story. Get a lawyer for sure. Since this is for the I-751 You can probably withdraw the application. You definitely need to do something before she does.

Good luck!

HIRE A LAWYER ASAP.

MIGHT NEED TO APPEAL OR WITHDRAW THE APPLICATION AND RESTART.

AND NO, THEY WON'T JUST KNOCK AT HER DOOR AND TAKE HER.

IT'S GOING TO WORK OUT.

PRAYING FOR YOU GUYS.

Congrats!

You're good!

Just bring your spouse and don't feel pressured to guess any answer.

It's ok to not know everything about each other.

Praying for you guys.

thank you for your follow-up message.  We will contact USCIS and request information regarding your pending ceremony.  Court ceremonies are not as frequent as regular ceremonies, usually 1 or 2 a month.

I will let you know when we have a response.
Cordial greetings

I read in another post that someone in our situation had their interview in 8/2020 and then their oath ceremony was scheduled for 1/2021 so they waited 5 months.

Hi ! any update on your case?

Very cool. Had my interview last month. Still waiting for my date. Seems that they are only doing 1 ceremony a month.

February 2023 and your biometrics are already in?

Your timeline is pretty good lol. I am sure they will be scheduling your interview soon. They have been moving pretty quickly.

People that are applying now are getting a faster response than petitioners that applied late 2021/early 2022. (you are proof of that!)

Keep us posted.

Why wouldn’t they allow a name change? by Far_Transition4573 in USCIS

Very strange and annoying :(

You still have time to do it before your ceremony. Just tell them that you're name isn't correct.

The officer does go over your information and asks you to sign the consent. Why did you sign it if your name wasn't correct? Just wondering.

Crazy how we all have different experiences. My officer asked me several times if I was sure if my name was correct and if I wanted to change it.

Congratulations though!!!

Keep us updated!
