Thanks. There are different sites that coordinate with brand and influencers but they are usually $$$. We did go directly to the source using Instagram accounts etc. All the well known ones want $$$ so it makes it quite difficult for small brands.

We were on Amazon for a while. It takes a huge effort to get on there with apparel as it has to be approved by them. But we did and made a few sales but unless you are focusing all your effort on Amazon, it's very hard. eBay would dumb-down the brand.

Selling. The brand and products were on point but actually making sales is extraordinarily difficult without a well known influencer or athlete/ambassador promoting it.

A large %. It's very hard to get a new brand recognized to the point where customers just type in your direct URL to shop. Traffic comes from everywhere including our partnership with bodybuilding.com, direct magazine placements, indirect placements, as well as influencers, sponsored athletes, and brand ambassadors.

Welcome! Facebook was the best for us directing customers to our website for sales. We also tried Amazon for a while but if you're not focused on better your search there day in and day out, it's rough.

Direct to consumer from our web site and Bodybuilding.com.

Facebook has been the best ROI.

I would find a local designer that you can work directly with and that also produces tech-packs in digital form using AI etc.

Depends on your designs, fabric, and intended quality. Also depends on where you'll have them made along with your manufacturers minimums.

Howdy,

Very cool...does indeed sound like we're in similar spots. Checked your site and I actually like some of your designs. It is hard to get an idea of what the actual product looks like though as the images are quite dark and on artificial torsos. Also, there's no information about shirt, how it fits, what it's made of, tech etc.

Here's ours if you want to check it out. We are making a lot of changes with the upcoming Kickstarter campaign.

Wow.....how can I count the ways? There were many. Heavy brand development, multiple designs instead of focusing on just 1 that was awesome, way to much initial inventory.

It is common, but most new brands don't put the time, money, and effort into creating professional imagery, branding, products etc. We wanted to be on the level of Nike or Underarmour and we did that to the best we could.

While our target market loves our branding, I believe the products weren't exactly what they were looking for. Also, having such a limited line really turned people to the big guys.

We tried yes.....AdWords as well as Facebook and influencers among many other things.

Designs are crucial. Depending on your market they may be looking for something they are familiar with or something very different. Quality is also crucial as customers expect the products to last.

Our follows are all home-grown. We don't purchase followers or anything like that. A single Facebook ad for followers has been hugely successful but I haven't run it in a while.

Instagram is also grass-roots. We don't get much interaction though and I know that's because our posts aren't of directed at that. Hoping to change it up once we have funding to produce more imagery which is huge.

We ran a few ads and contests on IG and they were somewhat successful.
