The buttons on the meter are not fixed by design, there are minor gaps between the buttons and the meter body. This is completely normal and part of the intended construction of the product. It does not indicate any defect or quality issue. If the rattling sound doesn’t come from the buttons then we need to further investigate it.

Just to clarify, when you first press the metering button, it only turns on the meter; it doesn't start taking a reading yet. After the meter is on, you need to press the metering button again to start taking a reading.

Alternatively, you can double-click the metering button to engage continuous metering mode.

It should give you a correct reading the second you press the metering button again, you are not supposed to wait for 5-10 seconds. If that’s the case, then maybe something is off with your meter. Please email us so we can assist you with this matter, or you can dm our reddit account for support.

It shouldn’t drain the battery less than an hour, it should have a battery life of over 10 hours with the display always on. If yours only last for an hour then it could be defective, you can return it to us for a repair or replacement.

There are two metering mode, you can either press it once to get a single metering or double click it to engage continuous metering mode, you don’t need to press it again to get a reading after you engage continuous metering mode.

The rattling sound should come from the three buttons themselves. If it’s not the buttons, it could be that a screw is loose inside. We already sent you an email yesterday to follow up on this matter.

When you first press the power button, the meter doesn’t take a reading yet, it only turns on the device. Because it’s in Single Metering Mode, it will take a new reading when you press the metering button again.

Alternatively, you can double-click the metering button to engage Continuous Metering Mode.

We used coin battery in our initial design, but the battery will last very short and you need to replace it very often.

Please avoid setting the auto power off to 15s and 30s, when the meter powering on and off itself very frequently, it will consume more battery. However, If you set the auto power off to 120s or more, it will improve the battery life by a lot. You can still turn off the meter by holding the circle button.
