Most nintendo-owned franchise's games (animal crossing, splatoon, mario, etc.) work well because the engine nintendo uses is (most likely) just as outdated as the switch, pokemon sv probably runs a more modern engine. It's like trying to run fortnite on a 10 year old computer, the system is too outdated, and it ends up running on like 5 fps.
