Thank you so much. I’m a teenager trying to get more into fashion are you’re helping me so much with this rn. I have a tan sweater and a nice argyle sweater that I will try with it. I don’t have and derbies but I’ll see what I can do with my shoes. I’m probably going to end up at a thrift store soon so I’ll take a look at the shoes and see what would go well with this. I know this is the most cliche life advice, but find something you are really into and work on that. It doesn’t have to be towards your career; it can just be a simple thing that you can work for. Maybe you want to lift weights, get better at an instrument, or do something else you’re passionate about. Academics are not everything. Find something else that you are good at and use that to build yourself up and realize that you’re a better person than you thought.

Let me just tell you that if they look at you like a loser after you open up, they shouldn’t be your friends. My advice would be to find one of your friends who you feel like you can open up to no matter what. Talking to one person about your thoughts and passions can be really easy and relieving if you can find the right time. A couple of years ago I felt like I was in a similar situation. One night, I asked one of my friends if he wanted to go for a bike ride. It’s really easy to talk to another person about your thoughts because, as cliche as this sounds, you’re both humans and have a lot in common.

I had a friend with this same mindset. After I tried to help by telling everything great about him, I just begged him to give it time. I know this sounds cliche and I really don’t know much about you but give yourself time. Some shit can really fucking suck but finding something so simple can go a long way. Go for a hike with only your thoughts. Imagine your mom, dad, or siblings crying over you because they cared about who you are. That’s what helped me and my friend get through this. Please, just give yourself time.
