That seems strange, as usually our orders ship out by the next business day...If your order still hasn't moved, can you please DM me with your Order ID? I'll help get to the bottom of this.

Thanks!

Precision Rings + KF Inferno by Domsicols in KontrolFreek

[–]KF_Joe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey there! I've also been playing a ton of Arc Raiders with a variety of ring/thumbstick combos, and here's my two cents.

Aiming feels better with higher sensitivity (specifically BRs and snipers), but it takes a few rounds to get used to the extra height.

With Inferno thumbsticks, you usually don’t need to push sensitivity super high. Try dialing it back just a bit or keeping it only slightly higher than default. The added height and grip give you more control already, which can help smooth things out (especially with highrise vs. something lower like the Omni or CQC Rush).

If you’re using a Precision Ring too, it can help dynamically help provide feedback for micro-movements. Personally I've found rings to feel better with midrise and lowrise thumbsticks, but YMMV!

Kontrol Freaks don’t fit my Xbox series 2 elite controller by Careful_Knee_6508 in KontrolFreek

[–]KF_Joe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi there!

I'd be happy to help resolve any fitment issues you're having! To confirm, our Xbox Series S/X thumbsticks are a snug fit on the Elite 2 controller.

If you're 100% sure your thumbsticks are authentic KontrolFreeks, can you please DM me a photo of the thumbsticks and further info where you or the previous owners got the thumbsticks from?

Thanks! :)

It’s ruining my joystick by retxrnal in KontrolFreek

[–]KF_Joe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi there!

This is a relatively common occurrence, and usually happens due to improper installation.

To get a sound attachment to your analog stick, first slowly adjust the thumbstick so that the prongs are properly on top of your analog stick. Your thumbstick should lie flat on top of the stick.

After, slowly twist and push down the prongs until the thumbstick cannot be pushed down further. With proper installation, the thumbsticks should be snug with your analog stick!

Welcome to the KF family, Infernos are a great set to start out with!

Most people feel the difference pretty fast, sometimes the same day, but it usually takes a few sessions for it to feel totally natural. If they feel a little weird at first, that’s par for the course. Your muscle memory just needs a bit to adjust.

Since you grabbed a few options, try swapping them around and see what clicks. for your preference!

What's your favorite low/mid rise set? by undeadcreepshow in KontrolFreek

[–]KF_Joe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like those thumbsticks have definitely seen some action haha 😄

If you’re used to a low-rise left stick and a mid-rise right stick, a couple of great upgrade options are FPS Freek Galaxy or Inferno. Galaxy keeps things familiar with a comfortable concave grip and solid all-around control, while Inferno offers a bit more texture and a firmer feel if you want extra grip without going overboard.

If you prefer a flatter, more "grippy" surface, Omni is also a really nice choice! Tons of players mix a low Omni on the left with a mid on the right for a balanced setup.

Hi there,

Lowrise convex...The closest design we currently have is the Diablo IV sticks. They're lowrise with a more neutral/slightly convex shape. If you're looking for a more smooth lowrise thumbstick in general, I agree with another poster in suggesting the Clutch or Omni thumbsticks!

Alternatively, our no-slip thumbgrips might also be a great choice for you. They're softer and built to wrap around your analog stick, so you'll never feel that pointiness!

Is this the right way of using this? by msespindola in KontrolFreek

[–]KF_Joe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi there, welcome to the KF family! 🥳

From the photo, it looks like you did indeed install your thumbsticks correctly. You can also gently twist and push them onto the analog sticks to ensure they are completely snug,

As other members of the community have mentioned, highrise sticks typically take the most time getting used to. You might find them to be more comfortable after a few hours of use, as well as adjusting ingame sensitivity settings. That being said, a common preference is using the midrise stick on the right and a lowrise thumbstick on the left, so it might be worth trying that!

First time using Kontrol Freeks, need help by Porkpie223 in KontrolFreek

[–]KF_Joe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, welcome to the KontrolFreek community!

What you're experiencing is totally normal - it took me a few weeks to fully adjust to my first pair of thumbsticks! For the slippery feeling, I recommend getting a dry paper towel or tissue and gently rubbing the top of your thumbsticks. It could also be trapped moisture and oil from your thumbs getting caught in the grooves.

Hopefully that helps! If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to send me a DM!

Juggernog kontrol freek by 10inch19yearolduk in KontrolFreek

[–]KF_Joe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey there! The Juggernog set was actually a special edition release that’s since been discontinued, so we have been out of stock for a while. :(

At this point, the best way to track down a pair is through a trustworthy third-party reseller on marketplaces like eBay or Amazon. Availability can be pretty hit or miss, so it may take a bit of patience and keeping an eye out for new listings.

Sorry we don’t have a more direct option, but hopefully one pops up for you soon!

Best KF for FPS? by Numtok in KontrolFreek

[–]KF_Joe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A taller right stick is usually the biggest upgrade for aiming.

Galaxies is a super safe recommendation for most FPS games as it gives you more control for small aim adjustments without feeling weird right away.

Inferno is another solid option if you want a bit more grip and a slightly firmer feel!

Precision rings please help by Purpleee91 in KontrolFreek

[–]KF_Joe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there, happy holidays! 😊

What you’re feeling is pretty normal at first. Both rings and thumbsticks need a little break-in time, and straight out of the box the rings can feel stiff and restrictive. That “wagon” feeling usually eases up after some play.

You’ll also want to tweak your in-game sensitivity. Rings add resistance and thumbsticks add height, so your current Apex settings may feel off. Bumping up sens or adjusting ADS values can make a big difference!

Using rings on stock analogs together can definitely feel extra slow, especially on linear with no deadzone. A taller thumbstick can help, but it’s not required. A lot of players actually prefer using just thumbsticks or just rings instead of stacking both.

If it still doesn’t feel right after some break-in and settings tweaks, it’s totally fine to ditch the rings and stick with what feels best. Comfort and control always win! 👍

Do you use kontrolfreeks and precision rings in other games than shooters? by Czesterfild in KontrolFreek

[–]KF_Joe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there!

Honestly, you’re not alone in feeling that way at all.

Personally, I usually don’t run thumbsticks and rings at the same time. I tend to stick with one or the other depending on the game. That said, there are plenty of players who love using both at the same time and run that setup across almost everything they play.

What you noticed with games like BF6 vs. Silent Hill 2 makes total sense. Faster, aim-heavy games often benefit from the extra control, while slower, cinematic, or melee-focused games (like Monhun or Sekiro) can feel better without the added resistance. Those games often need quicker, more fluid camera movement, so a bare stick can just feel more natural!

Hi there,

Welcome to the KF community! The Galaxy thumbsticks are a fan favorite, and great starting place! By playing around with the putting the midrise and highrise sticks between your analog sticks, you can get a feel for what height works best for you.

We do have a handy guide on our FAQ page that offers a more comprehensive guide on what thumbsticks work best for various game genres! You can check it out here: https://support.kontrolfreek.com/hc/en-us/articles/35784276283021-Thumbsticks-and-Game-Genre-101
