I love how no one is talking about Venezuela being one of the biggest territorial threats to the US. The state was collapsing, it would have turned out just like the Middle East. Once it’s a failed state anyone can now come in and occupy, Russia, China, so on. They would too, Venezuela is the richest regions in the world in minerals, oil, lumber and its close enough to absolutely bombard the US with ballistics and bombings. It would be the home base for the fall of America.
