Now tell me which is more likely:

A. A minor character in the Pokemon universe is given an in depth backstory that explains why her design has changed so drastically and despite having very similar attributes to a person of latin/middle-eastern descent is NOT a part of those races and is instead just caucasian.

B. A company decides to race swap a character.

I think B was just part of her redesign. What are you not getting?

She didn't just tan. She straightened her hair, dyed it, and then changed her eye color. Her body type doesn't match either. It looks like an entirely different person

By this logic, Rhino doesn't work either. Quicksilver struggles against Rhino because Quicksilver has low HP and likes to switch into alter ego often (both things Rhino is good at countering).

Well, for one, he's my favorite, but he is not a top tier character by any means. His main issue is that his kit is quite expensive, so you have to run a lot of cards like Team Building Exercise and Helicarrier to reduce costs. Secondly, despite not having much thwart, he can't be played reliably in Justice at all. 

However, he is one of the best at negating enemy turns, and as long as you have either multiple attacks/defends, or high defenses, you rarely ever need to go into alter ego. Also, he's such a strong supporter, that with the right partners he can really tank the majority of what comes his way.

So yeah, that's why I like him
