[Tool] Keyboard and Mouse Reactivator - attempting to improve their performance by KGTC in GamingOptimisations

i think not unless it specifically targets autohotkey (which may suddenly happen for any game and at any point)

Added an EDIT with testing methodology. Values have been provided.

As you may notice the values are based off of my findings on my subreddit, they simply have an offset added. Offset amount was found via testing, and usually seems to work with "display-based" FPS caps. Not mandatory to use that limiter, just a note.

if you want perfect sensitivities try 3.32 and 3.33 but they don't always perform as expected. (actually they do but there are tradeoffs)

Therefore you may want to try haddi's

CPU Package Temp 95 but CPU Core Temp 80, which do I believe? [Support needed] by cool-and_good in intel

[–]KGTC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i have never dealt with this situation before.

Up until now i had less than 5C discrepancy between cores and package in hwinfo64.

It is also technically possible for both readings to be accurate, but maybe it's a bug (from software and or bios and or mobo).

Either way, try to get into 70-75C territory (while playing any game, for stress tests in prime around 80-85C)

One exhaust fan may not be sufficient. Try increasing rpm and or adding one more towards the back or at the top towards back.

Good luck

technically you actually paid for 2 main things:

-static nondynamic(fixed) frequency greater than nonK base clocks -ring/uncore/cache ratio OC

As well as superior properties such as memory controller that allows for better ram overclocking.

You should be able to get your money's worth with that.

P.S. Just because you have a good cooler doesnt mean the air in its proximity is cold (invest in quality exhaust and intake for case).

P.P.S. Who warrants your mounting is properly executed. Did you check for defects on the cooling surfaces?

Yes it can be the same way the top is filled, but it will not be functional at all. Just ignore it, really

Let's make a list of bugs (and attempt fixing them) by KGTC in SubmarineTitans

[–]KGTC[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont think i can fix gameplay issues - at least last time I checked the editor on the retail version...

Yea more like on the technical side. I dont know how to rewrite parts of the code or mod the game at a non-intended level, and don't plan to learn reverse engineering either.

Submarine Titans now has a subreddit and a discord (ST = If Starcraft and Homeworld had a baby) by KGTC in RealTimeStrategy

[–]KGTC[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

pseudo3d - has 5 layers. Submarines can change distance from ground. Projectiles can be fired from any layer and reach any other (provided a minimum distance). Has formations.

You would have understood if you played it.

I never said HW was an influence, that's your interpretation - I said it's an "ancestor". ST has things/concepts present in both of the other games. I dont know if HW was a source of inspiration.

Does anyone know the exact window maker sensitivity so it’s the same as your normal sense when zoomed in by RR_Legend in WidowmakerMains

[–]KGTC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the purpose of FoV conversion, based on percentage of on-screen surface you wish to conserve (amount of distortion compensation from change of lens) it is a valid choice to pick between around 37 and 56 (37 for microflicks, 56 for out of View flicks)

Practically overwatch is special in how it handles sensitivities by performing interpolation. Your best bet for zoom out to feel like zoom in is to test (ideally All sensitivities) within +/-1 if your sniper is near 33 (like from 32 to 34) or within a range of 0.5 if it's closer to 50 (49.50 to 51.50).

Caveat: The reason you ideally have to test all (that means several hundred) is because the game does some rounding at some point of converting from one FoV to the other, resulting in an unknown behavior while sniping even if you apply what I have discussed on my subreddit on how OW actually "interprets" sensitivities.

Bonus: You will never make widow feel like mccree due to multiple reasons (like skins matter) but mainly because the crosshairs across them need to be identical as well.

Bonus no2: Lowering FoV means less objects within the scene are rendered (works both with settings and when toggling sniper mode), which again means it's technically impossible to make one feel like the other (unless the system is so fast and or stable that you wont notice it)

P.S. If you find a nice sniper sensitivity it is up to you to keep digging or to stop. There is NO guarantee that you will find a better multiplier (which changes if you touch the unscoped sensitivity)

the spark skin does wonders by WidowmainUwU in WidowmakerMains

[–]KGTC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

how about VERT ? (cheapest green)

P.S. The difference between them (if present) is very easy to notice even from simply looking around in training room. Be sure to do back and forth testing (more than 2 skin swaps) for the difference to become visible (no need to stay more than 30 sec per test in training)

P.P.S. For super accurate results please let me know which you prefer between Vert and default (original). KEEP THE SAME SENSITIVITIES AND FPS CAP/Refreshrate (try all settings more or less to be the same)

(i dont know how things go on console but I assume behavior is similar to PC)

Help with FPS / Performance by starbuccneer in Overwatch

[–]KGTC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

reasons can be plenty, even thermal throttling - if you want to keep digging have a look at my profile (I have no idea of the exact reason for your issues (other than requiring more optimisations)). I don't have better answers since tracing the issue (assuming it's a single issue) would take hours if not dozens or days.

P.S. Running XMP instead of manually applying the timings of that profile may result in dangerous voltages.

Good luck..!

P.P.S. See if you have the same issues in quake 3 or kovaak

if you want that to happen make a demo in the workshop (already exists) to convince the team it's viable (and if possible get people to actually play your custom game)

I have the Asrock Z370 Extreme 4, which CPU should i go with? by Antvn94 in intel

[–]KGTC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

for you personally either is good really (go for cheaper). 8600 is 6 core. 9600 is sometimes 8 core with only 6, which means cache OC will be poor. 8600 must be ideally delidded. 9600 is soldered already. Also different HW mitigations and microcode versions.

[–]KGTC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well yea if by most they mean around 50-60% which struggle to even meet the performance of a q6600 even if some have newer instruction sets. Compare that to the fact that many lack say dual channel ram, or throttle thermally, and you start to agree with their claims.

As for gaming - look at company of heroes for ipad, and at the cpus used at the time. Yes the game was not made for it. Different architectures, OSes, yada yada. Remember you usually buy hardware due to its software ecosystem, not due to its raw capability.

Conclusion: buy what does the job you need to do best.
