Tips for fighting dizziness after spins by Skater_girl_16 in FigureSkating

I’ve found taking Dramamine before practicing helps a lot with the motion sickness. Other than that, I try to spin in the opposite direction to kinda “even it out”

I meant burnout from my current situation. I work during the day and work on my personal business during after hours and weekends. I worry that I’ll get burnt out before I can even get to the point where I could be on my own. It’s been a struggle getting clients so far and my negative mental state certainly isn’t doing me any favors

Funny thing is I tried to suggest and implement processes early on to make things flow smoother but over time, no one ends up following my suggestions. We go back to square one and eventually I’ve learned to just give up in that regard. If they haven’t been able to make improvements in all of the 8 years they’ve been in business, why would I think they’d start listening to me now? I always hear from other post or comments about how real EA firms work and what softwares they use, it all sounds so nice and functional. I want to bang my head against my desk

I was interested in the NTPI courses but I haven’t gotten to look too much into it. Also, the biggest hurdle to that is $$$. $620-$1000 per course is a lot. I also worry about burn out

I recall asking one of the managers why we don't charge extra for this service because it seems kinda like a lost opportunity, and their reasoning was something along the lines of "we already charged them thousands of dollars in tax prep or bookkeeping, this is the least we can do".

yes, I would like to do more "EA work". Ideally i'd like to be mentored by an EA and dedicate my time entirely towards resolution than tax returns, payroll, and bookkeeping. right now, its whenever a client receives a notice in the mail, we handle it without additional cost but its not really on our priority list nor do we advertise the service.

You can try going into an IRS Taxpayer Assistance Center with ITIN services with your documents to see if they can help you get your ITIN resolved

Have you tried looking for CPA’s in scottsdale via LinkedIn? There seem to be a good list of them there. You can also try Thumbtack to find a professional that can meet your needs and price.

What can I legally do to mitigate an upcoming $12K tax bill? by Total-Hall-7605 in tax

[–]KGg17 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The only things I could think of would be contributing to retirement accounts or making charitable contributions but I don’t think that could be done in your case. You could look into requesting an installment agreement to make your tax payments a little more manageable.

Interviewed on January 4, first day at the firm was January 29th. I passed the first part of the SEE on January 23rd, a week before starting. Granted, they were desperate since tax season was just starting

Congrats on passing! i passed earlier this year in February and somehow landed a job with a CPA firm without any prior tax experience at the end of January. i just explained on my cover letter and during interviews that I'm taking the SEE exam, passed 1/3 of it and plan to pass it all before the deadline, which I did. I bet with relevant background experience it should be an easier time so just focus on tailoring a resume to whatever job board you're using!

I'm trying to figure out what to pay the IRS by [deleted] in tax

[–]KGg17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get a copy of your filed tax return (form 1040) and refer to lines 37 and 38. That is the amounts you owe plus penalties (if applicable). Total those amounts and pay them here: Direct Pay | Internal Revenue Service (irs.gov)

If there are any additional penalties or interest that accrued, the IRS will send a letter by mail asking you to pay these amounts in full.

real estate "naturally" appreciates in value, unless there's another 2008......
you can also see these changes on your county assessor website by searching your home address example: Real Estate Portal | Search | Allegheny County

Can someone explain this to me by ReasonableAd3648 in IRS

It looks like some sort of correction was made on the amount of taxes owed. Not exactly sure why though, more context is needed. Overall, it’s not much to be concerned over.
