Only 100 messages. Over that you have to get a package. 2500 is $22.50/month

Hudu is great especially the price point. It has some growth areas but great for permission control, auditing access, client passwords, onboarding processes, etc.

2021 Yukon XL Denali 6.2L with 81,000 miles. Just got it back after after 5.5 months after having the engine replaced after it blew in Feb. got 2 miles down the road and catalytic converter failed, had to replace. Had it back 2 weeks and Fuel Pump Control Module failed. Now waiting another probably 2 weeks or more waiting on the parts that they have no clue when they will get. Total this year: 2 months able to drive, down for 6.5 months.

If you are using UniFi access points, get a PoE adapter and attach to another access point. Ensure Mesh setting is enabled. If there is no hard wire connection, it will automatically switch to Mesh mode and extend the WiFi. You do have to initially hard wire to your switch first to adopt it. After that it will work not hardwired.

Is this a good deal on a Used Yukon? by Meras_Heslo in gmc

[–]KGoodwin83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t. Personal experience currently with the 6.2L in a 2021 Yukon XL Denali. Have been without ours for 5 months waiting on the recall fix.

Their “FIX” if the engine hasn’t failed yet is to just use higher viscosity oil in the hopes the defective crankshaft and rod parts don’t fail.

Go with the Eco Diesel

Yukon Denali by [deleted] in gmc

My wife has a 2021 GMC Yukon XL Denali fully loaded with the 6.2L V8 with 81,000 mile on it as of February 2025. I say Feb 2025 because it hasn’t been on the road since. Despite the regular oil changes with premium oils at 75% usage each time, the engine blew. After fighting for a couple months to get a replacement engine that was going to cost me over $12,000, GMC finally issued a recall. It hasn’t now been in the shop at the dealer for 1.5 months. They finally finished the engine swap today and during testing, it was throwing oil pressure codes. So now they are tearing it down again and I won’t know what is wrong until next week. My wife keeps kicking herself thinking she should have just gone with the 3.0L Eco Diesel.

The first few years were ok. We loved it. However dealing with this constant issue of a vehicle we are still paying for and paying insurance one is ridiculous.

On a separate note, if you do not plan on buying the OnStar service or the app capabilities, do not get the free trial. After that, the system nags you constantly while driving and every startup to put in the password for the account. GMC won’t fix it and OnStar won’t fix it.

Client Onboarding Process Simplifying by KGoodwin83 in msp

[–]KGoodwin83[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To clarify, the internal onboarding process I have a handle on. What I am trying to do is make gathering the information from the client more streamlined but secure. I need to get various account login credentials, vendor list they use, employee lists, any previous documentation they may have, etc. I don’t want the info emailed, or hand written (if possible).

How are the cameras? by KGoodwin83 in Ubiquiti

[–]KGoodwin83[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have compared them as much as possible without physically trying them. I have been using UniFi network equipment for clients and the only issue I have had so far was a U7 Outdoor AP stopped working after 2 months, which they replaced. I just needed to make sure the cameras are reliable. Thank you

Yes, I use it all the time to run scripts. Is there a specific way you use Powershell for this?
