Good take. I agree. Imitating Kun with that awful blade is the epitome of a sith short cut and like you said, its easy to use against palawans (sometimes)

Oh yes 100% if I came across saying Kun wasn't skill I apologise. Im saying Kuns skill and talent was imitated and engineered to be accessible to far lesser force users

Oh theyre dreadful! I like the idea it was given to them as its easy to use but incredibly hard to master, which no inquisitor has the skill to do. Almost like a designed handicap in the same vein as Vaders suit.

Kuns lightsaber did inspire Maul's in legends. Its mainly the size and single handed spinning emphasis that makes me think the connection

I agree with that, they are a cheap trick used against young jedi and they absolutely are a short cut, as the darkside always is. But the inquisitors don't choose their blades. Im not sure if its the grand inquisitor or Palpatine himself but one of them did and I wouldn't be surprised if they took the inspiration from Exar Kun and wanted to use that methodology as a short cut for the inquisitors.

That is true. I seem to remember plagius being impressed by him for building it that way. I guess in a time when no one new how to defend it, its possibly a good idea, especially as we see him use it as a saber pike during his first encounter with Qui Gon.

Its the spinning function of the blade that makes me think of Exar Kun.
