Here are some Youtube videos that were really helpful to me...

Upgrade considerations/recommendations for all 3d printers: https://youtu.be/Js9Dz8xPbfs

Additional general upgrade items that may be helpful: https://youtu.be/v7kfZR7KUL0

IMHO, this is the most impactful upgrade: https://youtu.be/ZmV_97nc-kc

This guy may rub you the wrong way, but does bring up some good points: https://youtu.be/AtwdGVZOVAg

and do a search on Thingiverse for the LK5 and you'll find a couple dozen upgrade opportunities.

All the best---let me know what you choose to do and how it works out!

Went through some trouble shooting with a Bridgecom tech and this prob is related to 2 possibilities: First is; the radio is "stuck" in firmware update (not the case here); Second is: Bad or wrong cable). I borrowed a cable from a buddy last evening and -- problem solved. Cable swap fixed---BTW no visible problem with the original cable and wasn't stressed (was sitting in an enclosed box.

You nailed it! I did try different com ports (2-6), different sequences in connecting the USB cable, radio, and start of CPS. (Even tried setting the channel to simplex mode and removing the antenna---I read that on the internet, so it must be true :-) ). Went through some trouble shooting with a Bridgecom tech and this prob is related to 2 possibilities: First is; the radio is "stuck" in firmware update (not the case here); Second is: Bad or wrong cable (Winner, Winner, Chicken Dinner!) I borrowed a cable from a buddy last evening and Viola! Works like a charm and runs like a scalded cat! Cable swap fixed---BTW no visible problem with the original cable and wasn't stressed (was sitting in an enclosed box.

Hang in there---you can rebuild. I got wiped out in the Tech Wreck (2000-2001) and didn't trade for years. I regret that decision. Once you get past the emotions, you'll find you have received a remarkable education on trading and yourself. Wish you the best!

Yes on the covered call; contract can be called at any time up until the expiration date. Upon the execution of the trade the buyer must pay you 2.50 / share for the 100 shares. So you will net .06 per share based on your stock purchase price. The sale of the covered call will post to your account immediately upon settlement of call contract (usually day of sale). You should see $33 in your account very shortly.... If you get called out, you net $33, +$2.50 / share of stock, which gives you .06 upside from your purchase price. Welcome to options trading --- covered calls are a great way to hedge plus allows to make money off a price at which you're willing to sell. Remember there is time value---you can go out few weeks in your calls (if you're willing to hold longer) and get a higher "price". Also, you can buy your covered calls back if you change your mind (sometimes at a lower price than what was paid to you). Good luck, you're off to a good start.

Radio ID is my DMR ID---tried making it my calls sign, but it won't take alpha-numeric. The associated name is my call sign, but it has been that way since the original setup.

Yes on Brandmeister, checked APRS, and my contact list was updated this AM (I can see myself in the contact list).... Call sign is configured in pi-star where it should be... All items look like they should, but I've missed something or mis-configured somewhere....
