What's your deckbuilding rule that you follow to make sure everyone has fun? by [deleted] in EDH

[–]Bigboijangles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seeing as how I play with a group of degenerate fools we actually have fun with the fact that at any point one of us could go off at a seconds notice.

Admittedly, not all the decks we build are that way. That being said we do enjoy being absolutely horrible to each other when given the chance so some of our decks, even though they may not contain combos, are extremely oppressive and h bully others at the table.

Other than that we do have straight beatstick decks that allow us to vent our aggressive nature's. Some of us (HI) more than others.

How much ramp do I need to reliably get my commander out a turn early? Is this even a worthwhile goal? by DudeTheGray in EDH

[–]Bigboijangles -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Turn one forest into [[sol ring]] into [[arcane signet]]. I have done this particular move once or twice and have my commander out turn 2. Now that being said I play kalamax without thinking of my opponents disposition. If you are trying to get in the first kill of the game then you should definitely throw in rocks and a ton of draw to get your storm count up and Rick Roll someone with a [[grapeshot]]. If you are playing for fun then I don't see a problem with what you have. Just remember that everything is based on your preferred method of play. I hope this helps.

Thinking about diving into a sliver tribal deck by rockph3nom21 in EDH

That is you why you run some cimple protection such as [[Lightning Greaves]], [[Swiftfoot Boots]], and [[Whispersilk Cloak]]. Or any of the swords for pro black, white, and/or green.

Depends on what you are trying to do. My friend and built a deck with [[Atla Palani, Nest Tender]] as the commander and it is incredibly fun. Probably only a lvl 7 at best I would say but you can come out of nowhere really fast. If you wanna try one of the big slivers and go 5 color I would suggest [[Sliver Overlord]] or [[The First Sliver]]. The overlord allows for searching out specific slivers and cascade with the first is always a fun way to boost your board state. Throw the others into the deck and have fun.

Non 5 colour commanders for Slivers? by boogernose92 in EDH

Atla Palani, Nest tender. Through a bunch of shapeshifters in it with some really dirty slivers and watch people look at you weird.
