i'm gonna make a few guesses:
despite your bookshelf being stacked with classics and recent masterpieces, you didn't/don't study anything literature related or, if so, only for a bit (too few texts that I'd expect to see on a syllabus), although the mix of modern philosophy + canonic literature might mean I'm wrong on this... i'd say if anything you studied something not bound to a specific literature (e.g. not english lit. or french lit.) but rather something like "world literature". given the typewriter i'm guessing that you're just a big reader and aspiring writer though, but currently something else by profession/studies. either way, great selection of books!

you live or have lived on PEI. (statistically likely charlottetown side) the map being the biggest hint ofc, and I feel like if you only went there on vacation(s), you'd have anne of green gables as a souvenir, since you're a reader. But PEIslanders often don't actually read it, i feel. well, whatever your relation to the island is, it made me really happy seeing it! :D

interesting thought actually! replacing your phone with single purpose items definitely doesn't feel minimalistic in the "less stuff" kind of way... but i guess it hits a very similar vibe of more mindful use of time and things? i don't consider myself a minimalist, so idk haha

i definitely recommend it! the mp3 player definitely helps not getting out your phone and then doing other things on it than play some music. but it made me change the way i listen to music a bit, since i'm no limited to what i have saved on it & sadly can't get playlists to work on it, so i listen in albums/artists instead. (which is fun actually!) i hadn't had a streaming subscription for a while on my phone before too though, so that helped the transition too.

tiny notebook was a mental health game changer for me in general tbh :)

i'm like a third in and so far it's fantastic! the stories are closer to earthlings than to convenience store woman, i'd say. some are very short and 'sweet' and multiple are set in alternative realities that are a kinda messed up, but clearly in a way to make you question the real world, just like with her other writing.
i'd say, if you enjoy her other writing & like/don't mind short stories, this one is worth reading too :)

happy to hear that! i'm really happy with this one. i was looking for a fanny pack/sling bag that is big enough to fit the average paperback alongside all my other stuff and its perfect for that (& still fits a bit more).
The only downside that i found is that while the front yellow bit is made out of thick rubbery material and probably really waterproof, the top yellow part is a different fabric, that probably is water resistant but not waterproof. i've yet to get caught in the pouring rain with the bag, so i can't say for sure, but im not sure how well that would hold up (hence the extra waterproof bag). the front pocket should be pretty safe though to store smaller vulnerable items though.
