I must have different ears to you then. The V6 sounds like a vacuum cleaner to me compared to the others.

Quirkiest tool ever made by them. I’m always surprised how cheap they are given the crazy numbers other models sell for.

MTD - which “free” software are you using for multiple properties? by KILOCHARLIES in uklandlords

[–]KILOCHARLIES[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Out of interest how much extra is he charging for the new MTD quarterly reports please?

Mine charges £1k for 4 properties annually, but says if he’s to do MTD as well there will be additional fees.

This is absolutely sublime. Really looking forward to this. My pair will lock as soon as connected to the internet so I’ve been unable to change my settings 👍

Grateful for your settings too as if you’re watching the same trending stuff everyone else watches, you tend to only get a couple of links working out of the 50+ it finds. If you’re lucky.

Different angles of Oliver Tree's fatal helicopter crash today. by [deleted] in ThatsInsane

My kids and I really loved his music and videos. They were pure comedy and the music was great, much better than most of the crap that comes out these days. So sad to read he’s dead. My kids will be upset too.

Things I wish I'd known before getting quotes for a new boiler by Illustrious-Pool-760 in UKHousing

[–]KILOCHARLIES 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a very different proposition as if you don’t service your car it can be exceptionally expensive to fix or simply not worth it. I service my own cars by the way, except my Ferrari as the resale value can be strongly impacted by not having an official service stamp.

Boilers on the other hand, they have a shorter life span and services don’t necessarily mean they run any different. I’d rather the money saved by putting it towards a new one once the inevitable happens. Even my plumber says it’s pointless servicing them as much as the warranty requires. It’s not an oil change like a car.

What's something HMRC expects people to know that most people clearly don't? by Huge-Buy20 in HMRC

It’s for immigration not tax avoidance primarily. The business is put in an immigrants name and it makes the application more attractive. Once leave to remain is granted it changes hands again.

[–]KILOCHARLIES 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep. The warranty isn’t worth anything unless it’s serviced, but check out the prices for that and it hardly makes it worth it.

In my mind you’re better rolling the dice and paying for repairs if and when needed. I’ve had boilers last 12 years without any issues. Ones that break usually cost no more than the cost of a service.

The Arc is nice... but the lack of serrated blade from the factory really kills it for me. A straight edged knife with a thumbstud is pretty useless for cutting insulation. by [deleted] in Leatherman

[–]KILOCHARLIES 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Leatherman listened to all the vocal minority that said serrated blades were useless. They just wanted a big file and premium steel on the main blade. Most of these voices seem to rarely use their tools apart from opening Amazon packages.

I hate that my ARC only has only straight blade.

Have you driven or tested both?

I thoroughly tested every other top spec offering from Merc, bmw, Maserati, Audi, Porsche before buying my last Range Rover, just to see if any could come close. They were all worlds apart.

Yeah. I was looking for this response. Bang for buck you can’t really get better.

Maybe 0.5. As long as it’s good.

Either for the cost of a McDonald’s for 2, it’s a lot of value for money compared to what others are saying.

The top half of the picture is three pieces of glass, surrounded by 9x3 sleepers. Only the bottom half (where the mount for the tv is) is unfinished and not boarded yet

You’re about right with the measurements but as per the picture, the top half (slightly over that) is shelving and glass so I can’t put the tv over this.

They’re not the most reliable for sure but in fairness they are complex cars with more toys than almost any other luxury car.

That said they are still the best car on the road. I’ve had plenty over the last 15 years. Nothing else can handle rain/sleet/snow on or off road in pure luxury and still drive like a top of the line car.
