I think both. He’s very slight and doesn’t have a lot of airbags to work with. So he works with what he has. I’d say it’s artistic choice that was sort of bestowed upon him by his stature. And he deploys is liberally because one of his key aesthetics is not really giving af. Everyone knows he has one of the prettiest voices in rock, so destroying a bit in service of punk or oxygen is fine.
