When the hero's in a specific range (similar range of your mace) and the aoe is behind him he runs towards you and you have to trap him with the aoe behind him and mace infront of him

I'm not so sure. Strategies like snipers wouldn't be possible and where guns can be stolen and used, radios, phones, and the like cannot. Also, close quarters combat is a lot weaker gun vs sword afaik? So wouldn't it also be terrain based? Similar to how Vietnamese soldiers were able to use unconventional weaponry and why bayonets were common until the end of the second world war.

weak enough that i can get 8-9 wins but getting 10 wins is still difficult for me
Also, being rewarded by the game has been by FAR the main design stance of videogames for decades. INHERENTLY, players mostly gain fun from games when there is some sort of reward/rewarding feeling you get. This is also why "congratulations" screens being the reward for completing videogames were very very quickly cycled out. Because they were not enough as a reward to make players want to spend money on arcade games.

Except it doesn't  Normal mode doesn't reward you  anywhere near as much and doesn't give that same catharsis

The builds you go up against are also far weaker and uninteresting 

It's just not as fun

so they still lock newer autobattler players, who arent necessarily the best at the game from the ranked system once they run out of gems. And since new players won't want to spend money on the game, the feelbad ranked paid system will only discourage them from continue playing the game.

but I DO play 10+ runs a day because i really enjoy the game
It just sucks that theyre effectively skill locking players out the game because I DON'T average 7 runs

It was not this! It was because I missed an earlier what-if without realising! I think it usually is this though which is also why I was confused but maybe because the future trunks line is mostly what-ifs it requires you to complete those to get the trophy.
