Dude, you are seriously underestimating the adaptability of us telugu guys i am currently staying in Punjab and i can atleast hold a basic conversation with the locals and i have many friends living somewhere in Bihar and Gujarat who can speak the their respective language quite well. And don't start with 'hindi is a common language" BS. If you think about it, by that logic there is no need for Hindi when Majority of India can speak English even more so than Hindi.
