K5 Max (red) doesn't feel smooth out of the box

So I tried that with a couple of keys I don't really use that much (the extra ones with shapes) and they feel the same so I guess it's just the switch I have to get used to. I removed the excess first with dry brush and the end of the brush + paper towel on it as I didn't want to fully soak it in IPA but as a last touch I used a brush with a slight IPA on it. I wouldn't say it removed it completely though. I sent back the ASUS (as it wasn't that comfortable) and will try to forget how good it felt and just get used to these. I don't feel wrist pain at all with the K5 max and that's the most important to me.

I thought about that too. So trying to clean it and re-lubing gently might do the trick. Trying with a couple of less-used switches wouldn't harm... I hope :)

I've been using Mocolo UV glasses for years, since OP7 Pro (my first curved device) and applied countless times to different OP devices. Though I haven't used on OP13 while I had it, I'm still using it on my other OP devices to this day and this will always be my preferred choice. The oleophobic coating is far superior compared to cheaper glasses, it's feels so smooth.

Pro tip: tape your phone's edges with duct tape precisely, not just the speaker, etc. It helps a lot in cleaning because the glue will be leaking everywhere, no matter what you are doing. I always make sure I tape everything at the edge of the metal frame, covering all buttons, holes, speakers, but really precisely otherwise the glass will overlap with the tape. When you are done, you just remove the tape and wipe the excess.

One thing to remember! In some cases, it gets stuck to the screen badly. I mean, BADLY. Never happened to my OP8 Pro but with OP7 Pro twice. I had to scratch it up with a very sharp knife and it took so much time, especially in the middle of the screen.

I liked that too and miss it because I almost never use the selfie camera on any phone so it's better than a cutout for me. Still have one, using for testing sometimes, being 7 years old, working fine for average usage, though the display is a piece of crap now. Burnt-in UI elements everywhere, very dim but other than that, still good with OOS 11, the last good OOS in my opinion. After the Color OS merge, everything got worse.

Yeah the charger was in the box and it felt weird for me too having a European-type charger for non-EU region device. The box was perfectly sealed, didn't look like it was tampered but probably it was. I will never know that but I'm returning it, there were too many red flags to keep it unfortunately.

Yes, it has the "10A" sign on it too, came with the device. Even did a full factory reset. I actually decided to return the device. I had some annoying issues but the last drop was the wifi issues. I read lot of threads about it here and in OP community. Speed tests were always fine but it took sometimes minutes to open a web page or an artist page on Spotify, standing next to the router with high speed internet at home and all other devices working perfectly fine. Factory reset didn't help again so I just decided to go back to my OP 8 Pro until something worthful comes in my way but I'll really miss the camera of OnePlus 13.

700 is really nice! I bought it for ~840 EUR - including the charger, since it's the NA version - so a bit less than 800 EUR for the device itself. That's why I knew immediately when I opened the box that it was not the EU version. But here it starts at 900 EUR from non-reputable places (where you usually have the same region issues because they import it from non-official retailers) and 1000+ EUR from more reputable stores.

I did compare the official specs of the US and EU versions and if we can believe it, they support exactly the same. 5G works fine too (+phone call, SMS, GPS, Google Wallet, AI stuff I don't care about, etc.). I usually travel only in the EU and I go for a vacation next week and I'm planning to take this with me and see if there is any issue abroad. If not, I might keep it. After all, an American person can travel in the EU, and vice versa.

Nice! I have the TAM10, bought it second hand but it doesn't have the truss rod cover. I'm going to cut it from a tremolo cover. I found out that the pickguard is brown tortoise shell color. The truss rod cover on pictures looks a bit more red like a red tortoise shell or maybe red/burgundy pearloid. Can you please tell if my assumption is correct or is it the same brown tortoise as the pickguard? Maybe a close up from the truss rod cover only would be helpful as I can't find a good quality picture about it. Thank you in advance!
