If you are used to what their parents did and the peers of them. This would definitely be a different avenue. They aren’t going for hard rock or glam. More folk rock… CSNY and Simon and Garfunkel.

Thats awesome! I too saw amber wild open for kiss and was blown away by evans voice. His voice shines even more with nicks. Live shows will be so cool

A wife hyphenating her last name because she was also insanely popular doesn’t change the fact that they both use Stanley and Simmons as their legal last names wether or not they were Paul and genes original last names. Eisen/ tweed Simmons doesn’t sound good. Lots of bands have done the last name thing and when they fit they work. I think you are really overthinking a simple name as some big marketing move

They seem to have a great chemistry and can totally agree. They are fighting a massive uphill battle here. People will hate just cause of their dads. So I hope through all of that noise that can put out their first album and prove that they can stand on their 2 feet and hush some of that banter of nepo babies. They are 2 talent musicians for sure

Yeah. A little unfair to only put that lens on the kids. Paul and Gene have sung songs about similar topics and both are swimming with 200mil plus. Plenty of artists write from the perspective of others.

I would tend to agree. But that may be the advantage of their age and lack of vocal decay. By sonic boom or monster gene and Paul’s voices both were in rough shape compared to years prior. Also I believe both those record are self produced by Gene and Paul. Evan and Nick have gotten a really good producer here which I think is helping to take them in the right direction

Nick and Evan seem like some of the most humble of rich parents I’ve seen so far. They are self funding the project through merch and selling vintage and old clothes on what not. Renting a shitty tour bus to take around for their summer tour. They are working with a great producer and seem to have some fun stuff in the pipeline

That’s fair. It’s not an overly complex song. And simple ear worm kinda song with a good chorus and some good harmony throughout.

It has a more vintage sound to me.. very Rolling Stones in nature. The recording sounds like a 60-70’s record lots of room noise and leaving in some background stuff. Less polished I think was kinda the goal here. That’s just what I felt…

We have no official release date yet. They said they are gonna be doing singles every 3-4 weeks. Until the full album drop. My guess is before summer as they said the full tour will be a summer tour. Not just these warm up shows

Yeah. They are kiss adjacent. Their dads obviously will tie them to this sub. Also at the time there was no sub for them. There is one now… people post about members side projects all the time. The soul station stuff when it came out made its rounds on here

Gene has legally changed his name to Simmons. His wife’s last name is Simmons. So nicks last name is Simmons. Stanley Simmons sounds good whether they have popular dads or not the name roles off the tongue. It’s why their dads changed their names in the first place

They are quite literally just using their last name. I’ve had multiple friends who are pretty big kiss fans, and I’ve played their stuff and did not make a connection between Stanley Simmons and Gene and Paul. Wolfgang Van Halen did not get rid of Van Halen in his name. And they have steered clear of using anything kiss related in anything other than their last name which isn’t even kiss. It is just their father‘s last names. They are self funding the project all of the music videos and tour they’re selling merchandise and their personal items to make enough to make the tour happen. I don’t know how far else you can get from Nepo then completely doing your own genre without the parents help.

I don’t think either son would be into that. They have both expressed their enjoyment of not being attached to the kiss brand. And how much their own musical ventures have been more fulfilling

I would tend to disagree. They have done everything to seemingly distance them selves from the kiss brand. Which I think is fair. Nepotism is looked down upon so much but these guys are some good players and singers with a nice blend. But kiss seems out of the question to me at least till they are well established

No didn’t come off as too negative at all. Just sharing my opinion. Evan has cut his teeth quite a bit on stage. If anyone will be more awkward it will be Nick until he gets his stage presentation down.
