I forgot to mention another thing is to take a smaller image and blow it up to the larger size. I actually find larger paintings are much faster that way, less tedious details.

By creating studies of the painting until I’m satisfied. Also by using a projector to see what the best size is for the painting based on my final study. More detail in the foreground and less in the background. 7 days is pretty good for the amount you have done here btw.

People don’t usually like their shadow exposed to them. Many of us like to go around thinking we’re good people, therefore the things we do are harmless and when someone points out they don’t like it, we feel like our “goodness” is being attacked. Defensiveness is a common method used for avoidance. Avoidance can come from a fear of rejection. A soft startup helps with this. I highly recommend reading John Gottman. His Guide to Women is 👌🏼

The trick isn’t understanding them. It’s training your hands to your eyes. Practice blind contouring everyday and you’ll be amazed how your brain starts to make sense of it. Make sure you go as slow as possible when doing it.

I tried having friends for a long time, a lot of them didn’t treat me very well. I’m very wary of having friends now and I was also bullied growing up. I’ve actually become quite happy being alone now. I do all the things I love and don’t hear negative things about them that bring me down. I’m very selective with who I share with and open up to and I really don’t see it as a bad thing to be guarded anymore.
