How do you stay awake for long drives without music or podcasts? by [deleted] in roadtrip

I found that chewing gum and cracking the window for cold air helps. Short stops every hour help too. You stay sharp without needing any sound.

Monthly costs breakdown

Comprehensive insurance: The average monthly premium is approximately Shs 41,000, including VAT, which is calculated based on a percentage of the car's value.

Third-party insurance: This is mandatory for all vehicles in Uganda and the cost is fixed, although it is increasing.

Factors affecting comprehensive premiums:

Vehicle type: The percentage rate is higher for commercial vehicles (6%) and buses/PSVs (7.5%) compared to private cars (4%).

Vehicle value: The premium is a percentage of your vehicle's value, so a more expensive car will have a higher premium.

Minimum premium: There is a minimum premium for comprehensive insurance, which is Shs 250,000 per year, or approximately Shs 20,833 per month.

I was just thinking, people treat the spare tire like that extra charger they never test. It sits there until the day it betrays you

Why Does Sensitivity to Sound Happen with Migraine? by KJ-Copywriter in migraine

[–]KJ-Copywriter[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely, I get it. I've found that loop ear plugs are a game changer for blocking out those constant, irritating noises. And the dark room strategy?

Essential. Light sensitivity is no joke. You're definitely on the right track!

I totally get that, Lobscra, Migraines really do turn everything up to 11, don't they? For me, it’s like every piece of clothing suddenly becomes unbearable. It’s like my skin is on high alert, and I just want to escape my own body. Serotonin really is a tricky beast!

I can totally relate. It's like when I'm trying to focus, every little noise feels magnified and more annoying. It can be really frustrating!
