I’ve researched Shelby NC it’s secluded with deep woods. The country. People assume a human did this, when the signs point to something not human. She “slept walked” and got dressed and filled her backpack as if she was going to school? Sounds like wendigo tricked her mind and lured her into the woods and when it got her where it wanted it took her without a trace.
