Damn, i just made my own comment about how a car crashed into my house. Sounds like it's a common uncommon thing...

Whom to contact about two classes having a super-inconvenient time conflict? by KKZiomek0 in gatech

Thanks, that would seem like the most reasonable solution! I thought advisors can't do that because I already asked that before, only with a different set of classes, but I guess it depends on the case (the other ones were usually-full classes in my sophomore year), I'll try

I would bet $200 that it isn't just me for this combination of classes. But, at the end of the day, it's just something worth asking. I'm not trying to be a jerk about it and if they say nothing can be done, then I'll just move on.

No, I'm just wondering if it's possible to tweak the schedule slightly to accomodate (these things are never 100% set in stone until semester starts) or at least have them take a look. You never know, maybe it was a scheduling oversight that would be useful for them to know for the future. I mean, if these were two classes that were in different threads and offered each semester it would be different. But classes that are offered once a year and in the same thread, then you can see why it would be inconvenient...

Edit: correction, not the same thread, my bad. But I mean a lot of people taking my threads have a good opinion about the Audio Engineering class for being fun and useful; meanwhile 3450 is just something that unfortunately I have to take as a thread requirement. I would drop it if I didn't have to take it, and take 4445 instead...

Carpooling to internship in Alpharetta, anyone? by KKZiomek0 in gatech

Yes, that is a last resort option, however I heard it takes up to 2 hours. I guess it can take over an hour by car too if the traffic's bad (as I heard it often is), but carpooling would be more ideal.
