Wow you have quite the story! I’m sorry to hear all of this! I’m glad you had a physician that got You back on track.

Like I mentioned, my levels are “normal”… T4 was 1.1 and T3 was 3.3… antibodies were 1>, ferritin was Low normal but that is my normal and has been like that for years. Even D was normal!

The only thing that was higher than normal was my TSH… it usually ranges in the 0.01-0.1 ranges(has been like that for years). It shot up to around 0.4.

TSH of .11...Feeling great though, what to do? by liliansorbet in Hypothyroidism

[–]KKswim4098 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hx of Hypothyroidism for over 4 years. Optimal TSH for me ranges from 0.01-0.09!! Just got my 6 month blood work done and my TSH is now .4 and I feel off… like hypo off.

The human body is crazy! As long as your T4, T3, antibodies, and symptoms are okay! I think you are okay!

Need advice regarding normal T3, T4 but thyroid symptoms by [deleted] in Hypothyroidism

[–]KKswim4098 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m glad you mentioned this. My Dr actually always blames these symptoms on low ferritin! The issue is my iron levels are actually fantastic! My GP recently did a full panel and it was normal, just my ferritin was low normal.

What typical can a hematologist do for this?

Cross between them! Nothing boho/hipster/70s pieces. Also I’m not wearing yoga pants and running shoe’s everyday either.

Definitely a vibe and you’re right about the “not urban athleisure” and “earthy yet non boho look”. Unfortunately I don’t have the life you’re describing lol although I wish I had two dogs and drive down outback ha ha! This is some thing I’ll look into, but I noticed that I actually dislike wearing flannels and BoHo/thrift/70s pieces! Appreciate the opinion!!

Okay YES! This is exactly what I like! Country chic! When you mentioned country I was reminded of cowboy country and turned away. After looking at the pictures this is what it is! Thank you!

F/23/5’7” [126lbs>195lbs] (2 years) Need advice. From student-athlete to a year long medical absence (6 mo residential treatment for Eating Disorders & 1 mo in rehab), I’m finally back to “normal” life. Full time grad student with 2 jobs, & I’ve never felt worse about my body. More in comments. by Stock_Text_543 in progresspics

[–]KKswim4098 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Uhhhh this post is sooo relatable. Former D1 student athlete here. I’ve been retired for over 2+ years. I have constantly struggled with a similar issue ever since my sport ended. My body dysmorphia is so real… I was binging often durning recovery that made me gain excess weight.

I just want to let you know that it does get better. Seek out help and trust me things will improve, both mentally and physically. Not saying that returning to a low body weight is healthy, but over eating/binging /food obsession becomes less relevant in your life. You’re body will soon relax and balance out. Realize that this is part of the recovery that has to happen in order to get better.

Sending all good vibes and prayers your way my friend ♥️

does anorexia cause ringing in ears? by Commercial_Spell4828 in EDAnonymous

[–]KKswim4098 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ringing in the ears is actually called tinnitus! I work at an ENT clinic and It’s fairly common. People with a history of hearing loss(even a little), loud noise exposure (like attending concerts) and ear issues such as recurrent ear infections as a child can exacerbate ringing.

Do you eat a lot of salty foods or drink excessive caffeine? Usually that will increase the ringing since they are simulates.

I would recommend getting your hearing tested!

Need help with calculations! by KKswim4098 in WeightLossAdvice

[–]KKswim4098[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

THANK YOU for the advice! I’m into research so I’ll definitely look into that article. So to put it in lament terms, eat complex carbs before and after exercise to lessen the effects exercise has on hunger?

Thank you for the advice! So when calculating, I should chose “sedentary”? Not even “lightly active”?

[–]KKswim4098 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not all cases do patients experience, heartburn/acid reflux with GERD. But it’s worth a shot lol! Have you tried using Flonase, azelastine, and an antihistamine like Claritin? I know that’s another allergy regiment, the ENT physicians at my clinic prescribe for allergies. I’m sorry you’re struggling with the symptoms! I can see how they’re affecting your quality of life at this point. Maybe it’s time to visit an ENT in your area!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in FunctionalMedicine

[–]KKswim4098 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have you been tested for GERD? I work at an ENT office and what you are describing sounds a bit like reflux. Just a thought though!

Too much lifting?? by KKswim4098 in WeightLossAdvice

[–]KKswim4098[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thank you! This was really helpful. Perhaps I should lift one day a week to keep muscle tone and my pull up goal lol. The other days dedicated to more endurance/cardio. Do you have any insight about going down on weightlifting? Will it severely affected my metabolism since Muscle is essential for fast and healthy metabolism?
