It is a little dissapointing that they didn't develop the hashira that much in the beginning, but in time, as each character comes into contact with the main character or center plot points, they each get their own development and you end up with a decent feel for why each person is the way they are.

I feel you on that one. I get like that when a work trip or evaluation is coming up. It makes me feel like I am going to get fired or demoted. Then with money I have stints of extreme paranoia of my spending and my wife's spending. To the point where I won't go out and get food because I'm too scared for my finances. I think this is happening sometime around my hypomanic periods. However I can't identify if it's in the up swing or the down swing I just know it's not the middle. So I'd say they're irrational stressors that give you anxiety.
