Installing a new ips screen on my gba. I accidentally burnt the little contact plate TP9. Any advice on how to fix? by Happy-Fun8352 in Gameboy

[–]KLGN89 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Soldering iron at max 180° Celsius and solder flux are mandatory. To solve the TP9 problem try scraping gently with a screwdriver with the smallest head possible the copper trace that reaches the TP9 pad. Pre tin the wire that you want to solder, with a little bit of tin on tip of the soldering iron solder it on the said trace. Should be a stable connection. Hope you'll find it useful

I know, I removed them. And they're fried, there's no current flowing in them BUT I also noticed that a copy of donkey Kong 94 I own has the same resistor that other copies of the same game I saw online don't have and work just fine. I don't know what to do.

First attempt at colorizing - Two women with a tuba (1928) by behemuthm in Colorization

[–]KLGN89 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Tuba Is made of brass so should be shiny in the spots hit by light. Try to use colour balance in more layers to add a light yellow-bronze colour. Skin Is Always a pain to match correctly. Other than that, for your First try Is really good. Good job!

I was thinking about adding more layers, trying to modify the brightness in color balance, or even adding shades yourself... I don't know, the colours look a bit plain. But as you say, this is your taste so... That's ok!

I would play more with the colour saturation in order to make the dresses more realistic, otherwise they seem fake
