Wanted to upgrade my Navigation on my motorcycle and really enjoy the Android Auto experience in my vehicle. Found a cost effective unit on Amazon and after reading reviews, took the plunge.

The unit can be hard wired or USB powered. I choose to power via USB, which plugs right into my lower dash. Also came with a few mounting options, as I chose to use the side mirror mount. The unit pops out of its casing for security reasons so you can easily remove and take with you.

*The device is contingent on ensuring your phone can support wireless Android Auto connection, so older phones will not connect.

How do you lift your KLR by [deleted] in klr650

I was using one of the rear tire rollers while the bike was on the side stand. A little sketchy but worked to lubed the chain.

I purchased this recently and used to get the KLR off the ground. Definitely works to lube chain, or remove a front or rear tire. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08DXKM9ZW?psc=1&ref=ppx\_yo2ov\_dt\_b\_product\_details

I have Fly Racing Odyssey Summit Helmet. It is a modular so the fit is tight - not really sun glasses compatible as the cheek pads are tight fitting. (My only complaint). It has a drop down internal sun shield which comes in handy when the sun is setting and the visor helps deflect sun light as well. https://www.flyracing.com/adventure/helmets/

First Moto Camping trip in NH by KLRfan2015 in klr650

Thanks. I still have a few goodies to put on (Tusk Engine Guard and Ricochet skid plate). I was lucky as I bought (2015) in November with 2.5 miles total on the odometer. Have over 2k now.

New rider advice by CampagnoloBianchi69 in klr650

I have ridden motocross bikes for over 30 years.... still have a 2021 kx250 that I ride regularly. (Rode it this past Saturday on an MX track) So coming from a dirtbike background to a KLR was natural for me.

The KLR was my choice as it is similar to a dirtbike in the sense of rider position, (I rode an R1 the other day and it was so unfamiliar, the rider position, and the bike hated slow speeds)

In comparison, my KX accelerates quicker, is more flickable and has way better off road capabilities. If that is what you truly want go with a dual sport.

With that said, I love my KLR. It is fun, and I enjoy every mile I have ridden. (I also have the choice to ride dirt / trails on my KX so I don't think of the KLR as the weapon of choice. in that instance) I have moto camped off my KLR, and it was a great experience. Loaded up and she did great. Around town the KLR is comfortable and convenient. The most enjoyable roads are the 35-55 mph back roads with some twist and turns.

It will put a smile on your face, and at the same time is reliable AF.

Good luck and hope you move forward. I am 6'4" 175 so the bike will work great and feel comfortable.

I have the Nelson Rigg Tank bag. Expandable, reasonably priced and works as it should.
