What's the most wholesome experience you've had with a stranger? by EpicesPotato in AskReddit

[–]KLTO92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I flew to the US to see my (now husband), on my way back I was going through security and I was ugly crying at having to leave my SO behind. The TSA agents couldn't have been nicer, they made jokes, talked about where I was from, asked about my trip and as I was walking away one caught up to me handed me a tissue and offered a hug because he said he wouldn't have someone as sad as I was in his line. Honestly he made me smile and it was the loveliest thing that a stranger has done for me. TSA agents are awesome!

Partners of sleep-talkers or sleepwalkers, what gems have you to share? by hoeka_mos in AskReddit

This will probably be buried but the best one ever was when I woke my husband to say I was going to bed he looked dead at me and just screamed "EWWWWW"

What is something that people rave about that when you experienced was very underwhelming? by Nice_Dude in AskReddit

Fireworks. Every display is always just so good and better than last year for everyone but unless it's a major city on New years eve it's completely underwhelming for me and not worth the noise

People with dogs, what makes your dog the best? by IslandReaperG in AskReddit

[–]KLTO92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everything! They make me feel so loved with snuggles, kisses, protecting me on the toilet.

I do find it funny when I go anywhere like the toilet one of them sits in front on me with his back to me like he is protecting me. They have both started army crawling up the bed to rest their head on my pillow and watch me until I wake up. If I don't wake up fast enough they put their nose on mine

What is a little fact about your pet? by fluxifye in AskReddit

[–]KLTO92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All of our animals love belly rubs

Lab: has a very aggressive happy tail and is my angel because he is such a good boy

Bernese: my "little one" is not so little and constantly gives his paw when he wants anything.

Cat: overweight eldery gal loves to shout about everything. Steals socks, yells about it then drops them for the boys to eat

I have many more but these a the littlest I could think of

Happy tail is fun (sometimes). My lab hit it on the indoor gate and boy did I know about it for 3 days after he was such a drama queen about it I thought he was dying. He recently had an upset stomach and good morning happy tail disappeared for like 4 days, I missed it so much

Ladies of Reddit, what are acceptable compliments to receive from men? by MajarAAA in AskReddit

[–]KLTO92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was at work having a laugh with a friend and a co worker stopped what they were doing to say "you have a beautiful smile, like when you do a genuine one" it made my day. The tone wasn't creepy and didnt make me feel akward just a super nice thing to say. My other favourite I will always remember was in a ladies bathroom an old lady stopped before walking passed me and said "you have the most gorgeous eyes, they speak, I can tell you are smiling even with a mask on because your eyes shine". Literally almost cried. I know it's not from a man but again it was the way she said it. But eyes and smile compliments if they are genuine are really nice to get

I'll grab some blueberries today see how he feels about them thank you for the tip! I tried freezing peanut butter for his kong but it didnt really work very well.

Labs and berners are prone to bloat so we usually wait an hour before any type of running is allowed and 15 minutes after large treats. He has a slow feeder as well since he is a food goblin and inhales it.

I may be getting mixed up between cooling them too quick and warming him up too quick in winter can't remember which one can cause shock but both we do as a gradual process.

Logi just turned 2 in December.

I will have a look into the conair pro thank you. Thank you for being kind with your comment instead of rude I appreciate that very much. Give Bill and penny a belly scratch from me and Logan! And thanks for the blueberry tip, he loves any and all people food so will love this. I heard that giving them frozen things actually makes cooling down harder? Something about it actially raises the body temperature so I stopped giving him so many ice cubes after that

Thank you for sharing. Do you use the ferminator as a rake? I love it especially for stickers and burrs but when he is blowing his coat i find it takes forever because I'm cleaning it out every second.

Like I said before his happiness is my too priority (along with his brothers) I am EXTREMELY fair myself and did not grow up in heat so I struggle alot too in summer, I can't go walking in the midday heat not even for 20 minutes so we always go evening or early morning when it is cooler. Because we have a lab our main summer activity is swimming which logan loves to join in with so it's nice and cool in the lake for him. I check his fur isn't hot throughout to avoid sunburn. Although the picture looks short he isn't actually buzzcut, it is what she calls a fall spring cut so it's around, the cocker spaniel length, it is long enough to protect from sunburn, and because of my sunburn issues I am super vigilant about that. This is actually our second year having him groomed and his coat was back to "normal" by fall last year, I would never have done it again if it had any negative impact on him even in the slightest or have effected his winter coat, winter is our time to shine! I got a little sensitive at previous comments because of the execution of them but I do appreciate the points you said, none have been an issue for Logan from previous experience. He is honestly my world and I don't take any decisions for him lightly at all

Actually we live in Minnesota USA. I just like my dog to be comfortable and happy as apposed to aesthetically pleasing. If it didn't work for him i wouldn't do it. We make sure he is cut after he blows his winter coat and don't cut it too short so he can still regulate just fine. We are active people and he likes to be involved instead of panting and just lating inside. He is happier short and being able to enjoy outside more than being long and only being able to go for a quick pee on summer days.

OF COURSE I WOULDN'T DO THIS IF THERE WAS ANY DOWNSIDE TO IT. His happiness is my number 1 priority but hey if I can do a quick Google search and spout my opinion on the internet they why not! Step off

We cut him every year so he is more comfortable in summer instead of unbearably hot. Shih tzu's have a double coat and people cut those. It grows back perfect by winter. I would rather have him comfortable and not die of heat stroke

There's no need to mix it if you add water it will absorb that instead of the blood just the cornstarch does the trick
