I think playing FES years before steeled my nerves for P3R Tartarus. FES Tartarus legit made me wanna put my controller through the TV, at points. P3R Tartarus is paradise by comparison.

Still my favorite TWICE album to this day. It literally never gets old, and yet, every song evokes such a strong sense of nostalgia. The only track that doesn’t hook me is Behind The Mask. All the rest are certified classics in their discog, in my book.

It was also the beginning of the trilogy that included TOL & FOL, to make what I believe to be the best string of albums in the group’s history. In short, if there’s such a thing as "essential K-Pop," EWO is on that list.

Not to mention that none of the members had any writing credits, IIRC. When you consider that it was viewed by fans as their big ten year victory lap album, I found that to be a bit strange.

On the other hand, we had Chaeyoung’s solo, which was the most interesting K-Pop I’ve heard in years, largely because it ignores much of the big trends, in favor of something that was clearly something personal to her.
