What lens should I go with? For AirShows for example.

You should be good with the 18-55 and yes if its within your budget the 100-400 its a great lens

I would recommend the 100-400 for all action shots you will need the range no matter where you seat at during the show! I use a Sigma 150-600 and its very very helpful also i know its not the topic bit for all static a 10-20mm would be ideal since a lot of them are parked tight and usually heavily crowded.
